  • Megaman: it looks like Airman *puts on sunglasses* just got defeated

    YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

  • Oh, he uses a rapid shoot macro.

  • ohh classic nes sounds... they are so... NES

... I think this is a stupid comment

  • I have an "Air Shooter", but it's better known as a "fan".

  • why the hell is he taking so little damage throughout this stage, why are there no bird bombers towards the end and why the hell does airman hit like a bitch.. im starting to think this is not the nes version?

  • Your suspicion that this footage is not of the original NES version of the game is correct. This video was recorded from the PlayStation 2 version of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection (as I've stated in the description), but I had played it on the compliation's Easy setting to uniquely demostrate the differences between this difficulty and what could be in the original title (or the Normal setting in the collection, which I suspect plays very much like the NES game).

  • 7 people see why air man Will Not Die! XD

  • i see why airman is hard but not enough that you would make a song about it. still, i like the song anyhow =)

  • the music on the gameboy stage was better...

  • So...

    That's the Infamous Air Man?

    o_O

  • @phoenixfirex It was on easy mode, brah.

  • Recent revelation: this piece actually had two people working on it: Tateishi [2] & Matsumae [1]. Matsumae composed bars 18 to 26. I may not know exactly which part that is, [I'm guessing somewhere from 0:13 to 0:34?] but I do know that this can now be considered a hybrid of Matsumae's melody and Tateishi's rhythm.

No wonder this composition is as popular as it is.

  • Okay seriously. Was this a 4 year old playing? You seriously need some work on your platforming games. Unless you were trying to run into everything.....then I say to you. Good job.

  • @benhelmuth He was playing with the horrendous controls of the Gamecube Anniversary Collection.

  • I was actually playing the PlayStation 2 version (which has highly comfortable controls, similar to the PlayStation version of Mega Man 8). I had some difficulty playing well since at the time I could only record my games with a small dark preview screen that had a lagging framerate output (which therefore made it difficult to see and detect objects in time to react to them). However, I do try to jump on the floating demon heads before too many appear at once (resulting in some damage).

  • @OceanBlueKirby I would suggest to you buying an NES and the actual cartridge for the Game. You will take far less damage that way.

  • I don't think that would improve my play ability if the same recording method was used (the problem was mostly from the preview screen of the recording program I was using to capture this video, not the hardware or controller). However, if I were to capture this now (2010), I definitely would've used the setup that involves seeing the game on my TV and a giant VCR that connects to the ADS Tech Video Xpress unit that hooks up to my computer; this method has improved my performance.

  • Easy mode and turbo and you still got hit by EVERYTHING

  • Even on easy mode and with a turbo button you played like shit

  • I love the music in this one!

  • I call shenanigans! Where are the birds??

  • In the Mega Man Anniversary Collection's easy difficulty setting, some enemies will not appear in the levels. The Pipis that drop eggs releasing smaller Pipis in Air Man's stage are one of them (they still appear during the first stage of Dr. Wily's Skull Castle on Easy Mode, however).

  • How do you change color like that?

  • In the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, Mega Man's weapons can be changed/cycled trough by using the R1 and L1 buttons on the PlayStation 2 port, and the R and L buttons for the GameCube and Xbox (I think) versions.

  • Get weapons!!! Equip weapons and change color!!!

  • I only beat metal man and bubble man, do you get a different weapon each time you bea a boss?

  • Yes. So far in your progress, you've obtained the Metal Blade from Metal Man and Bubble Lead from Bubble Man, but Mega Man can obtain the Quick Boomerang from Quick Man, Crash Bomb from Crash Man, Air Shooter from Air Man, Atomic Fire from Heat Man, Time Stopper from Flash Man, and Leaf Shield from Wood Man. The concept of getting a unique weapon from a boss (since another Robot Master will be weak against it) is present across many Mega Man games.

  • How do you equip them? do you equip them in battle?

  • An alternative method of equiping weapons is to view the start screen menu and selecting which weapon desired by pressing start or the button used for jumping (X button for PlayStation 2 version, I think the A button for the Xbox version, and maybe the B button for the GameCube version since I've heard the button controls rearranged from the NES controls). Weapons can be accessed at any time during the stage as long as the boss hasn't been defeated, so yes, you can equip them in battle, too.

  • Ok thanks, i us egamecube controller.

  • You're welcome. I do hope that I was able to help you enough with the GameCube version controls, too.

  • any one else wonder why haven't they used gear man for a name yet and his weakness would be rust man hahahaha

  • Can you block Air Man's tornadoes if you don't shoot the Leaf Shield?

  • The only methods I can think of for avoiding Air Man's tornado attack is to jump over them or use the Leaf Sheild to block the individual tornadoes. You are, however, welcome to try using other weapons to knock them away (since I haven't tried doing so myself).

  • What I meant by "Don't shoot the Leaf Shield" Is to use it, but not to move, so the shield blocked them

  • Oh, right. I haven't tried using it to prevent taking damage from Air Man's tornadoes, either, but you can try that for yourself, if you wish.

  • nope

  • I defated air man my first time with the normal buster..easy!

  • Awesome, thanks! Now i know how to defeat him D:

    Because i didnt know how ;o;

  • Hey, I'm glad the video helped.

  • capcom makes best VG music

  • awesome music @@ *happy place* 8)

  • @KiddaDevonHiHi7 the music is EPIC! amin akbar allah

  • Where's the birds/dropping eggs?

  • easy mode? the only ones allowed to play on easy mode are elementary school kids!

i always start with flashman, he's really lame and so is his stage. you just jump whenever hes about to use the time stopping thing and he'll miss. then you finish him off with mega buster. flashman>quickman>metalman>bubbleman>heatman>woodman>airman>crashman. but i got woodman with metal blade, coz heatman stage is hard without item number 2 (u get it from airman)

  • If you are stuck on Crash Man, use Air Man's weapon. In 2 hits Crash Man will be dead.

  • Airman was always the first boss I did, then for the others I forget the rest of the order because its been so long!

  • I bet people have already said this, but for airman you use the arm cannon blaster

  • There's a hard mode, and maybe you guys played the normal mode :D.

  • ??? wut does that have to do with wut i said?

  • Because the English version only have Normal difficult, but the Japanese one has 2 difficulties: Normal and Hard. That's why beating Airman is a problem. :D

  • soooooo...im still...not following...h-how does that involve...his weakness...

  • Er, no. The english version has normal and hard. :|

  • This is a very easy boss..But seriously. its harder to get to the boss than beting him >.>''

  • noo noo nooooo you play awfully bad,

but thx for the songs :)

  • Argh, this brings back frustration. Many times in the air jumps, I get hit then lose my landing. Many vulgar were uttered to this catchy tune.

  • where are the birds with the eggs?

  • When the Easy difficultly is set in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, some of the enemies do not appear in Mega Man 1-7. The Pipis in Air Man's Stage for Mega Man 2 are an example of such foes.

  • OMFG i love this game

  • MegaMan 2 and MegaMan 3 had the best songs in the series.

  • agreed

  • you don't know what it feels like to be built this way.

With only the powers to push others away.

  • i got a fan installed in my grill no lie

  • and im gonna blow your ass straight off the map goodbye

  • look up in the sky its a bird its a plane

  • It's airman bitch, and I'm bringing the pain

  • @Taslan DNB 4ever

  • i would like to see you face airman without the leaf shield anyways... nice

  • watch?v=U4lSjyREKaE

    try this !

  • I miss playing on Super NES. I use to play Super Mario World and Turtles in Time game at my friend's apartment.

  • I think they got most of the games you were able to play on Super NES on to the new Gameboys now.

  • Uh, you mean the DS?

  • At 0:06 when airman came up - The flying things behind Airman came out wrong. Its meant to be white dots, not birds.

  • in the description it tells you if you hold down A+B it will change the stars to pipis.

  • 9 Times you whooped your own ass on those horns...

  • This song is one of the best in the whole game. Right up there with Quickman and Dr. Wily stages 1-2.

  • I love this and Metalman.

  • i love the angry platforms in this stage.

  • love the song also!

  • bad ass song!

  • Look up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane!

IT'S AIR MAN, BITCH, AND HE'S BRINGING THE PAIN!

  • lmao i just saw the song for this comment

  • He's got a fan installed in his grill, no lie!

HE'LL BLOW YOUR ASS STRAIGHT OFF THE MAP, GOODBYE.

  • I love this song sooo much

  • OMG pls stop jumping on teh spikes XD

  • the music for this stage was straight up balla legit. daaa da da daaa daaa, daaa da da daaaaaa na na na nah, na na nah, na na nah. classic

  • I figured it IS possible to jump over only ONE spike in the stage because I did it. To prove it, I might upload a video of me jumping over it

  • ahhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm the game video 1~!

  • No birds?

  • When setting the difficulty on easy for the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, some of the enemies are not present in the stages, as well as taking less damage from foes. All of the asthenics are intact on the Normal difficulty setting (I'm sure other YouTubers have shown the game in its natural state).

  • Ah okay, thanks.

  • No problem. I was glad to help.

  • Thanks for the explanation. I too was like "WTF no birds?" LOL

  • Lol, you suck, learn to wait until the goddamn spikes on the Goblin Head's go down, Jesus!

  • lmfao he was being impatient, like I am. in that stage especially.

  • How did you the name of those pink heads!? KUDOS

  • i remember playin this as a kid this was my favourite stage i mean THE ADRENALINE

  • Why is this stage different than the JPN version?

  • How so? Does it feature different enemies and/or designs. I've never heard about any differences from the US release to the Japan one before.

  • Dude you're not gonna be able to jump over the horns stop trying

  • Mmmmmmm.

    Where is my DeLorean?

  • wots with the birds in the background of airmans stage intro.

  • The "Pipi Background" is a cheat performable for starting any of the robot master's/boss's stages. I've explaned a little about it in the video description.

  • Air mans definitely the easiest boss in the game :D

  • well any megaman boss is easy if you use his weakness on him.

  • I think metal man's the easiest boss, if your just gonna use the regular arm cannon

  • God this bring backs the good old days.

  • mega man 2 and 6 are the best mega man games

    for the nes.

  • Hah...They are..Ironiclly, my faivorite games for the gba are MMBN2 and 6..

  • Do you get extra points or something for getting struck by the horns of those floating heads? You must've gotten a ton of points!!!!! Great job man!!

  • Points are unable to be accumulated for Mega Man 2, which were only in the first Mega Man game. Depending on what point the horns are hit, Mega Man can either make it on top of the demon-like mecha heads or fall to loose a life. I appreciate the compliment, too.

  • You cannot defeat Airman.

  • The music from Mega Man was so fantastic!

  • I got here for the same reason!

I like the music from classic games =)

They sure were nice tunes to hear...

  • There is no easy mode. But it does looks like someones got some turbo-fire going... thats cheap and sleazy.

  • This was from the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, which an Easy Mode selection can be made in the gameplay options. The rapid fire ability comes from pressing the triangle button in the PlayStation 2 version (and I believe the X button for both the Xbox and GameCube ones).

  • well, for Xbox its the Y button for rapid-fire. I think it is for the GameCube, too.

  • Ah, thank you for letting me know (fully assuming that your information is correct for the GameCube version as well, of course). I haven't played the other two versions, so I wasn't too sure of which button it was for each of them.

  • Thanks again.

  • ya it is

  • This was my favorite Mega Man 2 stage, and also one of my favorite stage songs.

  • Ehhhh~? Seriously? Easy Mode?!?

  • I have tried to be unique with these videos, so I have set it to this difficulty for the differences between the Easy and Normal settings. I do believe that, at least the majority, others have shown the real game or computer-based emulation, which would be normal setting for the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

  • The music was sooo awesome in MM series!!!

  • It's interesting how epic it feels to look back on such a classic game :D

  • Nice, this wakes up some memories :)

I am currently playing Mega Man 2 on Nintendo Wii :D
