I think that they will, of course, announce the release date of Spirit Tracks in E3 2009. I think that Nintendo is currently working on a Zelda Wii. However, I think that it will be a game linking TP to the WW series if ST does not. I do not think that they will announce the next ZELDA Wii until next year.
Hopefully it will be announced at E3 but i'm not bettin money on it after Miyamoto's comment. Personally, i just want to know when the new Zelda game is coming out so i can start a countdown!

I Firstly Don't think that Zelda Wii will be shown at E3 at all, in my opinion it is too soon after the last Major Zelda game, Twilight princess, to be revealing details on the next one. Nintendo needs to take a step back at the rate it pumps out Zelda games lest it exhaust the franchise, though spirit tracks is there as minor fill in material. If it is announced, it certainly won't be released this year. My guess is a 2010 announcement, and a 2011 release on an enhanced Wii. iWii anyone?
Let's not forget that Twilight Princess was a gamecube port, and not a ground up Wii game. Enough time has passed for them to show something, but I agree with the 2010 release. Then again you never know, this could still be that big release for the holiday season.

Miyamoto also said that it will be hard to put together a trailer by E309, and he just doesn't seem that interested in E3. But they've had several titles we've been waiting for for the past few years, and it'd b ridiculous to not show us any (kid icarus, pikmin 3, zelda, mario, etc)

I highly doubt that it will be Zelda. I mean, how many times has Nintendo said that they have a huge announcement in store, making all Zelda fans think it's going to be a Zelda game, when it's really something cheap and unrelated? I have a feeling LoZ for Wii's a long way don the road, but at least Nintendo will be whipping out some other awesome titles beforehand. I haven't bothered buying a Nintendo game since Spiderman (was that primarily for Nintendo?), which was really awesome--best one yet-- though had its number of flaws keeping it from greatness, like all of those Spidey games. Especially voice acting. Ugh. Anyway, hope E3 shows *some*thing as a hint for what the game at least looks like. It's gonna be good...
my dads working on his MBA. Using his marketing standpoints, he said that the game has a prediction of being released by the late months (2009) or early (2010).
Don't wanna be negative, but I'm leaning on no for the announcement. We know for sure Mario as well as Pikmin are on the way, both being produced by Miyamoto. Zelda as well. Alotta work for one man, even if he is helping less.
Bet on something being shown/announced, you might end up being disappointed if you're TOO optimistic.
In my opinion, i'm not expecting any Zelda or Mario at E3. I think it'll be similar to last year, but Pikmin 3 in Animal Crossing's place. Sure, it'll be way better than AC and get some core cheering, but not as much as if it were Zelda or Mario...
Zelda and Mario was out WAY longer than Metroid (not that I'm saying I am against Metoid, don't get me wrong. I love it!). And if you ask me, Zelda is much more popular than Mario, even though Sonic and Mario are the two I grew up with.
I say it's either gonna be Zeld (for populatiry) or Metriod (for how long it's been since the last game).
It's a good possibility that the next Zelda game will be shown at E3 2009, but people seem to forget the other major Nintendo titles. Nintendo expressed great interest in making a Starfox game for the Wii, they could also be making an announcement about a Metroid Prime 4, or that they're ressurecting an old shool type game, like a new F-Zero, Earthbound, Ice Climbers or somthing of that manner.

Once again it all boils down to "We really don't know!" But I'll take a guess anyway. I'll say that the odds are in favor of them showing a brief teaser trailer for the Zelda Wii at this year's E3 conference. Spirit Tracks, at least to the hard core gamers, plays the part of "Vorspeise." Something to wet our appetites while we get ready for the big title. Although this new title probably won't launch until late 2010/ early 2011.

It would make sense with the controls but I'd be really disappointed in a way. A big focus on sword swinging and attack mechanics is so not what Zelda games are about even if it could work really well with Motion Plus. Don't really like to think of Link in first person either. I know, that's what everybody said about Samus but with Link it's different. After all, he's... Link!

I think a Wii Zelda will be announced this year, however, they might as well release it NEXT year, because they want it to be great.

Miyamoto also said that it will be hard to put together a trailer by E309, and he just doesn't seem that interested in E3. But they've had several titles we've been waiting for for the past few years, and it'd b ridiculous to not show us any (kid icarus, pikmin 3, zelda, mario, etc)

personaly i dont think there is a very big chance for nintendo to announce zelda for wii at e3 but it is possible. hopefully like thay said wel get a little teaser but i think there is a higher chance for pikmin to come ut seeing as its been a long time since theres been a game not counting the remakes on wii. and super mario galaxy 2? i dont think so and if they do it's not gonna be a galazy 1 but hopefully a new idea or twist on the mario series that is even more fun to play than galaxy

I highly doubt that it will be Zelda. I mean, how many times has Nintendo said that they have a huge announcement in store, making all Zelda fans think it's going to be a Zelda game, when it's really something cheap and unrelated? I'm not getting my hopes up. But of course, if they did announce Zelda Wii, then that will make my freaking day. All we can do is hope, I guess!

G4's Adam Sessler interviewed reggie at the GDC conference where he stated that there'll be nostalgic games from the past. in other words:
1.big games such as maybe kid icarus,earthbound, ice climbers, and others are making a comeback.
2.complete remakes of the games such as super mario bros 3 a link to the past or even orcarina of time.
3.a new game will come out but with the same style as it was back then. aka super mario bros. 4? kirby dreamland 4?etc.
p.s. these are just possibilities

I have a feeling LoZ for Wii's a long way don the road, but at least Nintendo will be whipping out some other awesome titles beforehand. I haven't bothered buying a Nintendo game since Spiderman (was that primarily for Nintendo?), which was really awesome--best one yet-- though had its number of flaws keeping it from greatness, like all of those Spidey games. Especially voice acting. Ugh. Anyway, hope E3 shows *some*thing as a hint for what the game at least looks like. It's gonna be good...

my dads working on his MBA. Using his marketing standpoints, he said that the game has a prediction of being released by the late months (2009) or early (2010).

Don't wanna be negative, but I'm leaning on no for the announcement. We know for sure Mario as well as Pikmin are on the way, both being produced by Miyamoto. Zelda as well. Alotta work for one man, even if he is helping less.
Bet on something being shown/announced, you might end up being disappointed if you're TOO optimistic.

there just toying with us by saying e3 isn't the place to show big titles. at the same time, all three companies (Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo)
keep saying E3 2009 is going to be Big.
(and remember nintendo's conference last year.......wii music :( :( :( ya tht was both sad.....and Scary...)
so nintendo can't mess up this time and need to through the dynamite(Zelda,star fox, mario,etc)

In my opinion, i'm not expecting any Zelda or Mario at E3. I think it'll be similar to last year, but Pikmin 3 in Animal Crossing's place. Sure, it'll be way better than AC and get some core cheering, but not as much as if it were Zelda or Mario...

Zelda and Mario was out WAY longer than Metroid (not that I'm saying I am against Metoid, don't get me wrong. I love it!). And if you ask me, Zelda is much more popular than Mario, even though Sonic and Mario are the two I grew up with.
I say it's either gonna be Zeld (for populatiry) or Metriod (for how long it's been since the last game).

It's a good possibility that the next Zelda game will be shown at E3 2009, but people seem to forget the other major Nintendo titles. Nintendo expressed great interest in making a Starfox game for the Wii, they could also be making an announcement about a Metroid Prime 4, or that they're ressurecting an old shool type game, like a new F-Zero, Earthbound, Ice Climbers or somthing of that manner.

honestly I've always been a nintendo fan, but recently I've lost the spirit. Nintendo is just one disappointment after the next... spirit tracks... come the fuck on ! Screw cell shading and wind waker, phantom hour glass, and spirit tracks!! I bet Nintendo's sales will start to decline, they don't care about losing fans well I don't care about them, so I'm going to have to do a 360 of my views!

although i have a bad feeling about this new game thats coming because..... 1. if there WAS going to be a zelda game for wii that was going to do be a remake of the ocorina of time (past episode) then it wouldnt really be that awsome to the people who already played it for n64 (once again...... not a good move) BUT one thing that really slows them down is their concept of the game...... in other words graphics? titles? prolouge and epolouge? and most importantly GAME PLAYING (continue)

Once again it all boils down to "We really don't know!" But I'll take a guess anyway. I'll say that the odds are in favor of them showing a brief teaser trailer for the Zelda Wii at this year's E3 conference. Spirit Tracks, at least to the hard core gamers, plays the part of "Vorspeise." Something to wet our appetites while we get ready for the big title. Although this new title probably won't launch until late 2010/ early 2011.

It would make sense with the controls but I'd be really disappointed in a way. A big focus on sword swinging and attack mechanics is so not what Zelda games are about even if it could work really well with Motion Plus. Don't really like to think of Link in first person either. I know, that's what everybody said about Samus but with Link it's different. After all, he's... Link!

I'm hoping on my life that Zelda Wii will be shown at E3 and other things mario and kid icarus. The best way to get Nintendo started is to cause a HUGE riot at Japan, right outside the Nintendo premises. I'll join... if i could get to japan.
