It's one thing for a wiseguy to get clipped by another wiseguy, but in a domestic disturbance with his fiancee? Richie Aprile was schifoso anyway; good riddance to bad rubbish, I say! Meanwhile, don't eat any meat from that butcher shop for the next little while...
damn i miss looking forward to this show. the wire and mad men are great shows, but i don't think we will ever see the likes of a sopranos ever again. it changed the game.
@Cryer24597 Define "respected critics". All the critics I have read - TV Guide, New York Times, Vanity Fair - say the Sopranos is the greatest tv show of all time. But, I think it is stupid to argue because it is all subjective anyway. But like I said, the Wire is a great show, but the there would be no Wire without the Sopranos. The Sopranos was groundbreaking TV and it was the first cable show to win an Emmy (Sopranos has 6, The Wire 2).
@bblokes Quote from the TV guide - "The Wire is the best show ever to air on American television"
Also the number of emmies The Wire has won has many times been regarded by critics as a "travesty" and that it "cheapens the award"
Also if you type into google "best tv series/show ever" the majority of hits attribute to The Wire. I'm assuming you havn't seen The Wire or else I am sure you would share my opinion.
@Cryer24597 dude, i live in baltimore, know guys who work at the Port who were advisers for some of the episodes in year one. as a baltimorian, i am very proud of the Wire. And, having already said it was great should tell you that i have seen the show. let me ask you a question: if you love the wire so much, why are you watching soprano's stuff on youtube?
@bblokes Sorry for the long replies but if you still don't believe me type in The Sopranos v The Wire into google, every website on the first page (couldn't be bothered checking further than that) has The Wire as a clear winner. :)
I just finished this season again for the 100th time. Hands down without any equivocation this season, this episode, this single moment with the music is beyond awesome.
This was the episode that made me realize that 'The Sopranos' was television beyond what I was used to. Great episode from the beginning (a random couple dancing in an empty house) to Tony sitting on the couch with Annie Lennox playing. Great, great episode...I actually laughed out loud because I thought this ending to this great episode was genius! I had to rewind the DVD several times to watch this ending over again!

@bblokes The Wire is much much better than The Sopranos, that is well known and is the opinion of every major newspaper and respected critic.

@bblokes Because The Sopranos is a brilliant show, just not as good as The Wire.
And the port was season 2 of The Wire......

@Cryer24597 the Sopranos is vastly superior.
