Considering that it got the backing from the US Air Force, what do you expect? Of course they got free access to clips of an Air Force launcher (Delta).

But I got the feeling maybe it's because no one wanted another Pioneer 10. So maybe the Beagle 2 in the teaser is like Voyager 6.

Besides, all big budget movies are nothing more but propaganda disguise, with reality, entertainment, and profit the last thing in mind.

well yeah that is a bit over board with the whole big robo lander thing but the beagle 2 does have a 'mole' that can move accross the landscape via a compressed spring mechanism to propel a drive mass for it. but come on its a movie so they need to over do it to make money, plus no one said it as pefectly based on realife! lol but neway looks to be a good movie :)

The Beagle 2 was a British landing spacecraft and also a British-led European Space Agency mission, launched on a Russian Soyuz 2 rocket from Baikonur.

Also Beagle 2 was merely a stationary lander, not a Rover.

So why is it depicated as a Rover in this trailer and why is it being launched by NASA?

Typical Michael Bay, never does any research into things before he films this crap.

Spider-Man 3's teaser was far better than this, and atleast it showed alot more.

it IS being launched on a Soyuz in the trailer; that's the only thing you got wrong. another thing to consider is that the martian landscape looks nothing like the dried, flat ground depicted in the trailer--it looks more like the saltflats of Utah. Also, there was an earthlike skyline. Let's hope the stars of the film seem more convincing.
