But we're talking about after regular hits, where obviously DK has to do something to avoid being chased by MK. If you look at it realistically, he has no other options but airdodge. None of DK's aerials are going to stop MKs priority or M2K's spacing.
DK is an extremely heavy character, and he can up b to completely cancel momentum. All large characters are heavyweights except Mewtwo in Melee. The only small heavyweight in the game is Wario. Yoshi, a heavyweight is also quite small but his stats are of other weight class.
