I definitely agree with you. Unfortunately, we don't make use more of reusable energy and resources. Why all of us as citizens of the planet believe that mother earth will never run out of her resources for the endless continuing growth of the human population is naive. But it all starts with the individual first, only that way we can stop the complacency of this issue and spread consciousnesses by leading by example. Im not 100%, but Im pretty sure most paper in the US is made from fast growing, renewable pine timber. & the US has more and more young tree stands because of excessive use of paper. The idea that paper is made from hardwood or rainforest is rediculous because it just doesnt make sense to make something Cheap out of something expensive. And paper is pretty damn cheap.

I spent years as a graphic artist in the print industry and it was sick knowing that all I was doing was killing trees that helped sell more shit that made more garbage. I'm still in the business of advertising but at least it's less of an impact. In about 6 months I'll be a student in 3D animation and will never look back.
In the UK, we Have 3 bins, A recycling bin, a food bin and a gerneral waste bin, If you put the wrong things in the wrong bin you get a fine from £70-£150 depending on what it was

I think we all agree that recycling is a great idea, but its still primitive in its design. Also, there are very few places in the world where people are educated well enough to understand that the actions of each and every person has an effect on everybody else. People simply dont give a shit if they dump their pop on a bunch of paper, because thats the ignorant mindset which a lot of us seem to grow up with. Recycling simply can't work in an efficient manner until everybody plays their part
and realizes that they have a responsibility to play an at the very least, passive role in preventing our country / planet from turning into a steaming pile of shit. Until people take recycling seriously, the government won't take it seriously either. Democracy works like shit sometimes, but if there is one thing we have learned, it is that when the majority of people REALLY want something, it will get done.
