@MaxRWF I think it is simply YOUR world military knowledge that needs improvement, no-one else's. Yes, the Legion are INCREDIBLE but the Parachute Regiment, Royal Marines Commandos, SAS, SBS are simply better.

As I've already said, 65% of the SAS are Parachute regiment. 95% of the SBS are Royal Marines. The SAS and SBS are rivalled by no-one the world over, except MAYBE Delta Force and DEVGRU. The Legion is a regiment of criminals - thieves, rapists, drug dealers, bullies and paedophiles.

@MaxRWF I'm bored of arguing over who's better - we're all supposed to be allies anyway. All I can say now is that saying the Legion is better than the SAS/SBS is ludicrous. It is a downright known fact that the UKSF lead the way and such people as Delta, DEVGRU, Green Berets and SEALs are also very good/close, but quite honestly the Legion are not a 'Tier 1' SF unit. They are a large-scale, formiddable infantry unit, much like the Gurkhas. And if you don't know the Gurkhas, you're WORTHLESS!

They fit their role better than SF, just as SF fit theirs better than FFL. It may be arguable though that most legionnaires are as tough as SF soldiers, they just don't do the same stuff.

je suis militaire au 3eme regiment medical,Csshighskill, les lunnettes ne sont pas "interdite" car moi même j'en es, que se soit pour soldat du rang sous off. ou officier,tu pose cette question sur une video d'un regiment de paras, lorsque que tu passe les examens d'aptitude, notament la vue, l'ophtamologue te le diras tout de suite si tu es miope ou astygmate et que tu doit porté H24 des lunettes tu es considéré come "inapte" parachutistes et que ce soit dans tout les regiment de paras !

in push ups you have to pass the 100 straight in running about 10 kilometres LW 3 kilometres HW there is a 60 kilometres march with 20 kilograms back pack for white kepi the hardest is after all that...the CECAP it is the hardest NATO training in the world good luck

its 40 press ups, four chin ups, 60 crunches, 3.2 km in under12 minutes running, if you want join the REP you have to do a mile sprint just before you start the eight km run in under 45 mins - in full kit. after that it pretty downhill, ten chin ups in the REP. the hardest bit and most random bit of selection is the psychological tests and security interview, thats where alot of people get cut out. good luck.

yeah the real skills expectations are secrets but you have the following exercises : running for two min ( u wont know the distance ) IQ tests , swimming , push ups and u have to give your motivation ... u also are questionned on u personnal life before that ( dont lie they automaticaly know ) 1 candidate on 7 is taken ... Again 1 false idea about the French Army & the FFL where actually OK there are by principes more foreigners origins (but more also choice and become French and French Citizen after 5 years of contrat) but the 1/3 of the legionaries are French origins (yes ^^)

But to engage in the FFL more French change (you can do that if your want & if you have not big problems with the law & the justice ^^) their name & their nationality

@cumbas Hello FFL means Force Francaise Libre, and it's not the Légion. La Légion Étrangére est sont nom,le patronime est GLE (Groupement de le Légion Étrangére). Only Yanks give that name to us.FFL,they should maybe read a bit more on history instead of looking at movies like Chech and Chong.
