Oh yeah! I think that was just when we got there, maybe. I do remember that. Yeah, I was the Luka and I was with the Rin append, a girl in a magenta(?) shirt, and a random blue-haired girl in purple jeans (my best friend...XD). I might upload the video my (magenta-shirted) friend took, except the quality isn't great.
@NekomikoLove Oh, god...I don't even remember. XD Um...probably...like 10:30-10:45...something like that, perhaps. If you happened to be there, I was cosplaying Magnet Luka...sort of.
@moonsmusume gah. I saw you, me thinks. But me and my friend left at like 10 that night x.x; The one who signed up for the lady gaga song was whom i was with.
They are finally sent for each-other, and they clash. During this. Rin could have easily shot Len from a-far, but because she has been slowly going insane, and basically lives only killing others, she would try to gain as much 'fun' from it as she can. So she goes into his range- leaving both face-to-face, ready to kill the other at any second (3:59). Something causes a trigger (possibly the others eye) and they realize who the other is. And then the song ends, so we'll never know what happens~
2/3 so he kept his blue eye, as it's a 'pure' color. Rin was raised to be a killer, so she kept her red eye- as red is seen as an 'evil' color.
Miku brought Rin up as what appears to be her slave, almost. Due to seeing no one but Miku, and spending her time killing, she is becoming insane. Len is raised by Kaito, Luka, and Meiko (2:34) to kill anyone who is wrong- Unpopular opinion time, but Len is raised as a Nazi, essentially. To kill anyone they think is unpure. (Need a 3rd comment. CONT)
1/2: So, after pondering all day and viewing various translations, this is my conclusion. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
I think Rin and Len grew up together, but were separated while still fairly young. In the brief flashbacks, you cannot see their eyes- though you can see Len has lost his right (our left) eye, and Rin being carried off by two people- one who is Miku, the other I can't figure out. My guess is they each had one red and one blue eye. Len was raised as being "justice" (cont)
They only have one eye each... Perhaps they both originally had a red eye and a blue eye. Since rin got the red eye, shes the evil one, and since Len got the blue eye, he kills for justice. Idk.. They could have both just gone insane from being separated and being surrounded in violence. Or whatever it says in the description
The swastika in Egypt, India and Japan is a sign of peace, plus I think it's flipped or sumptin' idk. It would make sense since Len rabbles about destroying evil and crap.
People need to understand that a swastika is not ultimately the symbol of the nazi party, and that hitler's party gave it negative connotations that are now normally associated with the sign.
Also, "raping the replay button" is a completely awful phrase that fails to acknowledge how horrible rape is by making is sound normal and trivial. Please don't say such things.
@luchia712 I wasn't taking it literally. I knew what you meant. But using the word "rape" in a context where you mean something normal and acceptable normalizes the idea of rape and helps people think that it isn't as bad as it is. Rape is a serious and awful thing. It's not a word you want to throw around without reason. You could easily bring back bad memories to someone and make them hurt unnecessarily. Don't do things you know could hurt people. That's all I'm trying to say.
Hmmm, my take on this is no different than the other's but still...twins are separated. Rin tries to prevent it but is too weak, hence she's discarded junk, a broken doll. Yrs later she's now with Miku who has her be an assassin antagonizing the military force where Len is. He remembers Rin, but since she's so deranged now, and trigger happy she's a threat. He on the other hand is not much different, only that he disguises his addiction to killing as justice.
@CountessD In the end something clicks inside Rin. Her answer to why she's kept alive? or maybe they both rediscover what they once had? Either way it seems that -hopefully- the story may not end in tragedy....and they both look friggin' hot xB
@CountessD my take is pretty similar to yours ;D although i'm pretty sure the one that got left behind was len because look at where the blood is on his face, it's on the side where len's eyepatch in the future is and also the hair looks tied up xD
Okaaay... So.... The two different swastikas: The left-handed and the right-handed. It just so happened that Len has the right-handed swawstika which is the symbol of the nazis.... WHY LEN???!!!!!!
I wonder if the artist of the video confused which way the Manji was meant to be pointing, cause you see it in both orientations (see 1:50 for the right direction), though largely in the WRONG way. Perhaps the frames were horizontally inverted? like so many reposts of most youtube videos.
@FruitRandom No, I think they knew, considering this picture (zerochan dot net slash 413748) ,which was posted on pixiv by the artist, has it consistently the other way. And it has the title in there with the Manji. I'm assuming Len is actually supposed to be a Nazi despite everyone arguing that he isn't.
@risuthesquirrel Nah, Rin's last line should be: *raises brow* Wow... I totally wouldn't have guessed, Captain Obvious. I mean, it's not that we look alike or anything.
I think it get the story now! Rin and Len were twins. Miku apparently wanted Rin for her evil purpose, but Len wouldn't let her. So Miku must of stabbed Len in his eye, which is why he is wearing the eyepatch. Len is good. Rin is evil. Rin questions Len why he won't kill her. He won't because she's his twin, which is what she realized in the end. That's what I think. Don't believe me!
I like that the more conventional army uniform is worn by Len, yet he uses a katana, and Rin is wearing some kind of kimono-looking thingie yet she's using a gun~
Len is not a Nazi, okay? He's part of a Japanese Secret Police. It may be a rank insignia, design, or whatever as long as it doesn't say he's a Nazi. I like his outfit though.
@123loveandhate321 I'm pretty sure that the story is Rin and Len were separated as children and ended up fighting each other to the death on opposite sides of some kind of war/rivalry.
@apusama That's not what an append is. What you're describing is an act (updated voicebank). An append is an additional voicebank of the same character, but recorded with a different tone/emotion thing (like soft, warm, serious, light, etc.) to extend the range of songs that character can sing.

To me, it seems to be somehow like Miku was able to control? Rin and have her destroy and kill things. Len on the other hand, is out to stop her. They fight, and remember theyr'e past when everything was peaceful as happy siblings.
Rin breaks out of her spell (?) when she remembers, but Miku orders her to kill Len and they each take out eachother at the same time. Something like that is what I got anyways. XD

I love this song. I've been having a hard time fully understanding Rin's part, but it's interesting analyze. I'm glad I've found a third translation for it. Len's seems to be talking about the concept of how being able to dehumanize people enough to slaughter so many makes you empty and less human as part of it. It's so addicting. I was going to put art for it as my desktop (love the artist), but I didn't want people to accuse me of being a Nazi.
@Lilytooth You could always edit out the swastica on the arm band. I know it'll make the picture lose some of the meaning if you do, but... at least you'll secretly know it was always there, right? Just a thought.
@FallenAngelVampire1 In the video Len wears both. (it changes, in some parts it's one way, in other parts it's the other.) In the title it is the Buddhist symbol. And Len's uniform looks vaguely like a Nazi uniform. Anyways, people are going to jump on every swastika they see because the symbol is so strongly associated with Nazism. Particularly if it's within a red-black-white color scheme.
@Lilytooth that mark in Len's armband is not a nazi mark, it's some asian mark for luck or something, they just look very similar. Nazi's have solen and ruined the marks meaning :((

Most certainly a interesting song. This song has many different layers of morality in it that most certainly makes one think.
