  • king Olav only got 15 years old, how could he groww such a big beard at that age? xD

  • Nice...

  • Så simpelt, og alligevel så smukt. Skandinavien FTW!

  • @G33KSPALACEdotCOM simple and stupid

  • @neonorven Do you know why there's such a stinky smell around you? It's because you got your head stuck in your ass, now pull it out, remove the crap from your ears, and listen to this beautiful piece of music.

  • if you have some irish/scottish/english or even french theres a chance you might have some scandinavian in you...

  • @shirokun002 or portugual or touched the outter ports of spain, majorca and minorca had viking settlments. King Alphonse used vikings known as Lordemani or Almagus to fight the moors. Constantinople was defended by the Varangians...the dna is reflecting history.

  • @Cuah123 true :3 the vikings got around. what an exciting life it must of been

  • @Cuah123 thats right :)

  • @shirokun002 I hope I do. Norse culture (especially the mythology) fascinates me and I wish I had Norse roots.

  • @DuchessAliana welp. the vikings got around. you could even be iraqi and have some roots...well...probably rape roots but roots nonetheless...

  • @shirokun002 Wrong, the Vikings have no impact at all on Asian or Middle-Eastern people in ancestry. By the way, stop calling them pirates; Viking means pirate in Old English, call them Jutes, Geats, Norse, Goths, Ostrogoths, Varangians, and on and on and on and on. These roots have faded a long time ago, there weren't enough Vikings to be a major ancestral source nowadays. Let me correct you; No, Irish people are generally very homogenous, no major Viking influences, NOT ANYMORE.

  • @leeho98 i never once called them pirates. They may not of impacted the middle east but they certainly traded with them. Of course not anymore, but they invaded and influenced ireland nontheless. In 795 the first Vikings in Ireland landed on the Irish shores with their Viking ships attacking their first Irish monastery in Rathlin Island and they continued to attack for 30 to 40 years, including settlements in dublin and cork. So like i said irish families MIGHT have viking ancestry, not they WILL

  • @shirokun002 Why are you so incredibly stupid? I already said that it's near impossible to be connected to an ancient Norse/Jute, just like it's near impossible to have Sumerian ancestry. I'd be surprised if there was even more than 10,000 Scandinavians who "settled" in Ireland. And yes, by calling Scandinavians "Viking" you refer to them as pirates. I know that they "attacked" Ireland, I know that they raided, settled, traded; you are pointing out the obvious.

  • @leeho98 there is no need to start with the insults.im just saying even if the genes from thousands of years ago don't give you hair color or a type of build, you still have them, they just aren't dominant anymore, but you always retain those roots.the genes came from somewhere and quite frankly we all have a little bit of everything on this planet. and yes a person born today with Irish parents doesn't make them a 'viking' but the if you trace the family tree they might of had a viking ancestor

  • @shirokun002 If a gene is not dominant you can't have it, genes don't work like that. Neither does blood. Blood is thicker than water, so is genes. Dominant or bust.

  • @shirokun002 Well, they might not, Irish people do not look the least bit Scandinavian, neither do the English, or the Scots. And red hair is not Scandinavian either, red hair is Celtic.

  • @leeho98 ...just because someone doesnt look a certain way doesnt mean they arent what they are. not all irish people have red hair or green eyes. in fact not many people have those traits at all. The Celtic people and Vikings intermingled with each other on various occasions, like i said they invaded and settled ireland. Also Celtic is not an ethnic group, its a language. And red hair is a mutation of the human gene originating in northern europe, aka scandinavia...

  • @shirokun002 Why are you reciting the same bullshit over and over again? I know everything of what and who the Vikings blended with, stop telling me this useless shit information. You can't even address them properly "Vikings" and "Celtic people" now you are claiming that seafarers blended with a whole culture and nation of people. Very few Vikings actually settled in Ireland and blended with the Celtic population, those who settled formed their own towns; Waterford and Dublin for example.

  • @leeho98 I've seen many red haired Scandinavians so you're wrong. I mean, if you just want to go by stereotypes, then yes, "Celtic" people have red hair, pale skin, freckles and Scandinavians have blond hair, tan skin and blue eyes. But those are just stereotypes and not many people actually conform to them. If you go to Ireland or Scandinavia expecting 90% of people to look like that then you're going to be very disappointed.

  • @yurismir1 I just have to tell you that red hair is found in Scandinavians but it is not at all common.

  • @DuchessAliana Well, too bad; chances are extremely rare that you will be connected to Scandinavian people, unless the connection is recent; ancient Scandinavian roots are extremely hard to trace, downright impossible; and there weren't many of them. They were Adventurers, Raiders, Farmers, Warriors, Artisans etc. Just like any other ancient culture.

  • If you're a Norseman at heart, try Sigurd's Saga on Youtube.

  • Strange but nice!!

  • somewhat sad

  • Amazingly beautifull. Hail!

  • This is really beautiful - is the instrument called a bukkehorn?

  • both post are great, wonderful music and visuals, thank you.

  • I really love this music! So beautiful and very peaceful!
