I really don't have time to do tutorials... but I use the same system in two other tornado videos that I have on my channel. I use Linux and have run wax in a virtual windows envrio... and that is really just no good way to work. That is why I use a different compositor. Now I just use Blender 2.5x... no more wax.
A short description of what the particle system is as follows. I used two shades of brown (dark and light) particles in the birth and death transformation. The particles are emitted and travel in a vertical path. The camera then rotates around the particles to make them appear as though they are cyclonic... when in fact they are not. The video that I have in the "white room" has 5 different particle system layers (some aren't spinning).
The "desert heat" cyclone video is the same particle system as a .png image sequence on a plane in blender. This was the most effective use, I think... because blender has better 3d environment controls, by far. I only work with particle in blender now. But these tests in wax taught me a great deal about how systems can be created and physics can be 'cheated' with the camera.

You should do a tutorial, since that is probably the best and most realistic use of the wax 2.0 particle system that I've seen, well done!
A quick sidebar; was there any particular reason you didn't use the wax program for compositing?

Nice effect. I love the realistic effect of debris appearing to be hitting the camera lens. Nice added touch.
