@alucard4848 thanks for your advice, yes they are mostly hard to fight. i've found the way to free richter with these glasses. but i play the japaneese saturn vertion on emulator. in this one, you have to fight against maria, and she's so strong (happy to have the fairy who can regenerate you =)

@Archzenom I know you implying that Bible = evil, and that was your joke. However Biblical, it does say that the devil will know scripture rather well and attempt to use it in an evil and manipulative way. So even in this fantasy setting, it does make partial sense.

However I believe it was to attempt to show some level of repentance of Dracula before he died, since that passage is about power and wealth at the cost of your soul.

@RaaronR Actually, Dracula was originally a crusader who fought for god, but then swore vengeance against him when his wife died, and that's also why he became a vampire (in Lament of Innocence).

Since he was very religious when he was a human, it makes sense he still attaches some value to the bible.

That also might explain why someone who has turned against god has a huge-ass chapel in their castle.

PS: Is it just me, or did he say "Your plan has fail" At 2:00?

It makes sense considering Drac's history, not in the situation. This was a bitter duel between father and son, not a scene from a Bond movie. I think it's just really funny and I can't but wonder if it was in any way part of the original Japanese dialogue.

I don't know why but I think Castlevania SotN is chronollogically the last game because at the end, Alucard tells Dracula Lisa's last words, and those words talk about not hating humans and not doing them harm. It's an awesome ending to something, a battle between son and father. Don't you think?

This takes place in the 17th or 18th century (not sure which),and Dracula gets resurrected several more times before he is ultimately defeated in 1999 by Julius Belmont. For some reason or another, the Belmonts can't touch the whip until that time, so other characters (Shanoa from OoE, the Morris' in Bloodlines and PoR, for example) have to hold him off until then.

But the last time Dracula's alive will be in 1999 before he's finally killed by Julius Belmont. But the last time that we see Dracula's powers is still unknown cause we still got Soma.

And Dracula's "defeat" in SOTN fits with all that has happend because Dracula's hatred for humans is caused by Lisa's death but when Alucard told her last words to Dracula he asked Lisa for forgiveness for what he has done. :)

@flashdevil13... He called himself that. In mythology, spells are cast in reverse in order to revert them, so he put his fathers name in reverse in order to symbolize his revolt against him. Alucards real name is actually something like Vlad Dracula the fourth.
