  • We did this in the SF Bay Area from 1997 - 2009 before leaving the state. It was rough in terms of the peer pressure to spend it all on real estate and everything else. Little did I know back then that this technique would save my butt while unemployed in 2009 and 2010. It saves me today. My financial advisor gives the same advice you're giving by the way. Earn more, spend less and do it at the same time.

  • I would live below my means if everything would stop going up. It would be nice if my paycheck would keep up with everything else that's going up.

  • Excellent video. I live a good life because of my frugality.  All my needs are met, and I don't feel deprived at all. With a little creativity, you can enjoy life for much less and save the difference as you say.

    My brothers are Masters of Economics and they have been preparing me since 2004 for the collapse of the US dollar due to money printing __> debasing a currency and....driving up Gold and Silver.
