How do you perform the salt water flush? Can someone answer that for me?

Sometimes I do the salt water flush late and it doesn't kick in until I get to work. Luckily, I sit right around the corner from a bathroom!
A lot of people say the first 3 days are the hardest, but for me it's the easiest! I find that day 5 is the hardest. It's different for everyone.
