what he means is that you need to put more passion and drive into it, rather than playing it unmusically and " impulsey ". just because its slow doesnt mean its played without energy. all correct pitches i assure you, but sway back and forth and play on one butt cheek. seriously, it will make you move and play much more smoothly. other than that good job. use your ear and feel the music! have fun with it. cheers mate.
this is gorgeous! i love how calm you were. maybe the only shortcoming was the pedal?? it wasn't as echoey as it normally should be? but other than that, beautiful! :)
@rturnerful You are WRONG! Yes, perhaps the pianist in this video had no formal attire or any swaying movemnts with his elbows or head. But music is about SOUND, not the way you act in front of the public.... And when you cannot see the pianist there are no facial expressions or emotional ticks involved. I should know what I am talking about after playing 12 out of 18 years of my life.

I don't move like Lang Lang (which I find distracting =P) but to be honest, I'm not sure where else you would find room to eke out more emotion; this is a song designed for vocals, and is extremely simple in terms of the notation.
Look at misolikey's vid response (which is fantastic) to see how the music + vocals are meant to meld together.
@BCsounds I agree with you, and I think the other reviewer is wrong. I am a concert pianist and I've played for 12 years, and IMO the erratic movements are distractign and unnecessary. It only tenses the muscles and makes the movements less gentle than possible. The artistic movements that pianists like Lang Lang has are like you said "distracting" and when it's a reccording you don't see it anyways, music is about SOUND, without seeing emotions in his face you only hear tension in his music.
thumbs up if you searched some gay guy on a beach on a piano song to get here
