the trail to the 1st waterfall is thru the forest. there is very obvious path, and it is very hard to get lost. doing the entire rim is another story. you have to spot the junctions to come back to where you started.

@guitarmusics117bjl however, you don't have to do the whole rim. you can start off going back the way you came up, then once you get back into the forest, cross over the stream at the top of the last waterfall, scale some rocks, and you'll eventually find a switchback trail taking you back down, much easier than climbing down all those waterfalls. last time i went there were pink markers everywhere, if you keep seeing those you know you're good.
