Well, making an entire stage or character from scratch requires alot more than just space. The programing needed, the modling required, moveset planning, revisioning the stages in a 2D fighting space, and the copyright claims would just end up delaying the game even more

brawl is one of the most imbalanced (character wise) and broken games ever.

type in the Ice climbers death grab on youtube, or go look up some vids of some pro snake, mk, or falco users.

brawl may "look" pretty on the outside, but once you actually get deep into the mechanics of the game, the whole thing falls apart, its not even near as epic as melee was(definatly not as balanced), nor will brawl EVER be as amazing as melee was, period.

It's really the same as in every other Fighter. Games like StreetFighter or Tekken are more complicated then the SmashBros games, thats why they might be called "real" fighter, or why they are called "original"

far as a bigger "spectrum" goes, in brawl, its metaknight, snake, falco, diddy kong, wario, ice climbers, those are the onlly characters worth using,

in melee, you can see characters low as link and mario placing well, thats 16 characters that can place well in melee, compared to the 6 in brawl, do the math.

Sure some characters are slower then in Melee (especially Kirby,I hated this at first,thats why I started playing as Pit and MK) but in Melee everything went boring very fast. I mean, I loved this game. But only because I had 2 gamepads xD

The newer Smash gets, the more fighter it is.

watch a match of a DDD falco, or ice climber, a REAL competitive match, tell me if those chaingrabs require "skill" or planning.

luck has no place in a fighting game, period. that is just one small reason of the BILLIONS of reasons why lolbrawl is not a fighter, or at least definatly no where near as good as a fighter as melee, when you learn to master the tech skill required in melee and get enough fast reflexes to handle the game, get back to me.

Look at some of the japanese games of this. the reason that so many people think of Brawl as "slow and campy" is because people are either doing only so or bitching about how much better melee is (like you). They adapted to the new system and are prospering from it, while we all sit here whining like kids.

the game creators prolly got lazy and decided to just put real maps from games into the game and alter it a bit... for this one though, since there are drivers, the drivers DO need a place to drive, look at the map in the top left corner when playing and you'll see where they are at, pretty helpful
