  • How did you make this? Do you know where I can get one? I have wanted one of these ever since I saw the Dark Crystal when I was little (18 years ago).

    This is so beautiful.

  • @Azura1988 Mr. Hind makes his ocarinas at his workshop out of wood. You can order one from his website at hindocarina dot kom

That particular model is his Hind Harmony Inline Tenor.

  • Sounds a bit like a Bach prelude. Very nice. (:

  • would you make me one

  • very nice! you've got a lot of talent.

  • Kinda sounds like an organ.

  • how much does it cost?

  • Amazing... that was really beautiful.

  • hey umm my uncle is very into ocarinas and he really wants a wooden one like yours. his birthday is coming up soon and i really want to get him one. Can you please do me a favor and tell me were you got yours and how much you paid for it? I would really appreciate it and so would my uncle! thanks!

  • "hind ocarinas" is their own brand. just google it and it will come up with their website.

  • It's making me sleepy Zzzz... :D

  • For such an amazing instrument that can do far more than standard ocarinas, why is it that few people have them? Basing this on the very few videos I see.

I would guess it's because it looks intimidating. It does look difficult, but I ordered one recently... such a beautiful instrument must not go unnoticed.

  • I have an alto from Mr. Hind, amazing instrument. But i'm planning on getting this next. How are you liking it?

  • It is very difficult to learn. Then again, I haven't had much time to practice with it.

I've got the scale down pretty nicely and can imitate songs using one or the other chambers.

I'm no musician so, it's really hard to figure out how to make a NICE harmony using two different chambers.

  • In regards to that though, I think I've discovered that if you're going down on the scale on one chamber, you should also be going down in the scale of the other chamber, instead of going in opposite directions, and vise versa... for the most part at least.

After I learn "Jen's Song"... I think I'll be able to confirm this. But, after listening to other

songs, it seems to be the case for most songs.

  • sometimes double ocarinas can get annoying to me. but very good video!!

  • Sounds great! Too bad they are so expensive =0 lol

  • nice playing i may be ordering soon

  • that's simply amazing

    Priscilla Hernandez

    ethereal gothic singer-songwriter

  • it sounds like a lullaby.

  • are both sides in the same octave?

  • nope

  • It's like a harmonica ___

  • What I am playing in this video is just a series of made up little ditties connected together. The ocarina comes with a free book of tunes written out with melody and harmony.

  • this is beautiful. Do you sell, or do you know where i can get music to suit this double ocarina? Such as what you have played in this video?

  • I can't believe how sweet the tone is and how clear the harmonies are! Best sounding ocarina ever!

  • amazing

  • I want this thing so bad it hurts! I need one ASAP! They're sold out until 2008!!! No!!!

  • i love that double of yours! to bad its a bit it costs a bit to much for me...

    also great website :)

  • For such a unique wind instrument made by hand and that you can play harmonies on, it's a very good price. In fact, I'm surprised he's selling them so cheap considering they aren't pumped out of a mass production factory.

  • Fantastic. Great music on a well crafted instrument. Very nice to watch and listen.

  • Simply beautiful! excuisit harmonization!

  • Yes, there are two separate chambers tuned a 5th apart. Each side plays one octave. The higher chamber plays from C to C and the lower from F to F.

  • is the ocarina devided in two

  • Why does this video only have 2 stars?

  • holy crap thats awesome!

  • Fantastic! I loved it and your technique is very impressive. Thanks for posting this :)

  • i suck at improv.

    youre really good at it.
