  • West Star can you repost this one again? The ending cuts off. I would love to burn this version to a CD, but need the complete version. The very last 3 or 4 seconds are missing. Or, can you email an MP3 of it to me at: tom_tagliente19@yahoo.com

    Thank you.

  • yeah,,,I guess,,,,,You can also say that it is"cheeky".

  • Lesley - Anne Down a joué dans Dallas ? 'tain j'ai de ces trous, moi, alors ...

  • Is LArry Hagman from I dream of Jeannie?

  • yeah he is but his role is a conmplete opposite of JR !!!

  • Yes.

  • Yes, Larry Hagman is also Major Nelson

  • yes,he is

  • This is best DALLAS intro i have seen!

  • Leslie Ann Dawn is in the introductory footage because it is very famous actress

  • Comment removed

  • It would have made better sense to give Lesley Anne Down "Special Guest Star" status in the opening scenes. She's hardly a mainstream character, and she wasn't on the show for long either.

  • Best Opening form DALLAS !!

  • Good season, but what happened in the next...

  • I used to watch this every week just for the part with Charlene Tilton in the spa. I wanted to "do" her long before I fully understood what "doing" somebody meant.

I still think Dallas has one of the coolest theme songs ever written; the bassline in the earlier versions is sick.

  • Who the fuck is Lesley Anne Down?

  • She was in Sunset Beach.

  • and now in the bold and the beautiful since 2003

  • She's a British actress who prior to Dallas was most widely known for her starring role opposite Patrick Swayze in the HUGELY successful Civil War-era mini-series "North and South" and its sequels. This was back in the day when TV mini-series lasted an entire week instead of just two nights. "North and South" was one of the highest rated in TV history.

I'd completely forgotten she was ever on Dallas, and I watched the show pretty religiously. Lol..

  • She couldn't be in the next series so the part was recast.

  • Lelsey Anne Down got her big TV break in the classic British drama "Upstairs Downstairs" as Lady Georgina, niece to the ill fated Lady Majorie Bellamy, who went down with the Titanic.

  • great show and a great city...i hope to move there someday..my parents used to race home on friday nights to catch this show...

  • They just don't make shows this good anymore.

  • is Lucy pickeling herself?

  • I LOVE THIS VERSION!

  • Ok, The 3rd season version, the 1984 version, and this version (3rd version of course) are the absolute best!

  • this version has that 1,2 beat sounds like a snare drum. kinda corny

  • it sounds fine meanie, LOL just kidding.

  • oops sorry I did it again, I meant to write this under my screen name not my little brother because he wasn't even born yet

  • In my opinion its one of the best versions of the theme!

  • I LOVE the haughty little look Leslie Ann Down gives.

  • @younggeorgy me too ive always liked that but ive never heard another comment about til now . i always wondered how to describe that look....so its haughty huh?

  • Sorry 4 posting so many times but my internet was failing on me and I thought it didn't work. Sorry!!!

  • OMG Was that just Sean Kanan I saw in the opening????????????!!!!! Shees, seems like not only Lesley's been around :))))

  • No, that's not Sean Kanan. That Sasha Mitchell. He played J.R.'s son on the show.

  • OMG Was that just Sean Kanan I saw in the opening????????????!!!!! Shees, seems like not only Lesley's been around :))))

  • OMG Was that just Sean Kanan I saw in the opening????????????!!!!! Shees, seems like not only Lesley's been around :))))

  • Where should be Sean Kanan?

  • OMG Was that just Sean Kanan I saw in the opening????????????!!!!! Shees, seems like not only Lesley's been around :))))

  • i love this version too... it may have something to do with who is the 2nd person in alphabetical order... lol

  • I love this version of the theme exept for the 'starring in alphabetical order' part where the music seems to jump and go back.

  • thats because they got lazy and tried to do an early 90's remix instead of just re-recording this version to fit the opening credits. Good ear!

  • sorry I replied under my brothers screenname but I meant what "he" wrote, LOL

  • the horns and strings clash too much in season 6 i think, but the bass helps it out at the end

  • OMG lesley ann down was in dallas LOL she been in dalls, sunset beach, bold and the beautiful shes been around lol

  • dont forget her best work in "north and south" :-)

  • Yes, but forgettable in each of those soaps. I truly cannot remember her role in Dallas. I don't know why b&b have kept her for so long.

  • You could brush your teeth and take a shower while waiting for the show to start at this point:D

  • remember that this how good tv was back then. The opening credits were essential to the show, but you're right, it does seem verrrrrrrry long now.

  • i actually like this extended version

  • @DonaldnTroy me too cuz there were so many characters, so warm and fuzzy
