Hamster Stores so much food, he gets stuck in a tube!

Ran out of room....but wanted to share your hamster is so adorable. I'm sorry he passed away. :(

This happened to our hamster today. Only she is a Syrian (yours looks like a Dwarf?), and much bigger. There was a C-shaped section of the tube, and when she tried to go past it, her cheeks (full of hoarded food) went into the space and she was stuck. Luckily we witnessed it happened, so we could help immediately. I was scared of hurting her, and she was scared when I started to disassemble the tubes. She started pooping everywhere she was so afraid. She is fine now and I removed the tubes. :(

chewing blocks are verryverry bad, hamsters can die if they eat to mutch ;d. and your cage is too small. my hamster stucks in a tube like that without food in his mouth. but that dousn't matters. nice vid ;p.

I've seen a few videos where the Ovo water bottle is at an angle, is there an advantage to it?

@James42785 Basically its tilted because the weight of the water makes it fall over :P but i also tilt it so he doesnt have to have lick the roof and just tilt his head to the side a bit for some water. I find when its tilted it also doesnt leak quite as much.

if they are like misterhamilton and syrain hamsters they have to be seperated or they will fight but dwarf hamsters are fine to keep in pairs :) but anyways just add a wheel and if you have one make sure that their wheel isnt too small. Make sure they have lots of space to roam around in and climb on and stuff. Mister hamilton used to bite his bars all the time and it drove me nuts! then i added a bigger wheel in his cage with more houses and things for climbing and he stopped! a bigger cage 2

just leave him alone for a few days and then slowly let him sniff you :) dont make any sudden moves and try feeding him from your hand so he knows thats where his food comes from. Give him treats and hold him once he doesn't run away from your hand anymore and if he does wear a glove or put a cup in his cage that he will get into and then you can take him out. When i take mister hamilton out i rest him on my lap and he just sits there while i pet him :) my hamster also used to chew on the bars

Thats the problem with hamsters if you want to call it a problem...but they never sit still :( its not a bad thing and they sit still but if you get them out right after they woke up they will sit on you longer. As soon as they are fully awake they will like just go crazy and run around. With age hamsters calm down and just sit there more. but for now just do the best you can holding him. You might want to buy like a fish tank even to put him in while you play with him :) put some shavings in..

and it was really loud and annoying. So you can try a few things. Make sure you hamster has a big enough cage and connect two if necisary (i have 3 connected) and have a huge weel big enough for him with lots of chew toys from the pet shop and things to climb and run around in :) i had a pretty small cage before that the pet shop said was big enough. But i bought 2 huge cages and connected them together. Voila instead of being addicted to his bars he got addicted to his wheel and climbing bars
