That logic is flawed. No one is comfortable buying from creepy dealers/giving money to cartels. I think most people would much prefer paying more to buy from a legitimate, regulated business where they know they're buying quality. If it were legal, it would give the cartels LESS to work with. marijuana is the #1 cash crop. not because it is illegal, its because everyone smokes. crime from drugs come from the laws. not the other way around. if we make a monopoly on it by keeping it illegal, there will always be people ready to kill in order to profit. whereas if it were legal and controlled...it takes the power out of the hands of the cartels.

That logic is flawed. No one is comfortable buying from creepy dealers/giving money to cartels. I think most people would much prefer paying more to buy from a legitimate, regulated business where they know they're buying quality. Regulated MJ would be more carefully tended and less likely to have been contaminated by harmful pesticides than the brick crap smuggled in from Mexico.
