Now that's THE most useful video on youtube out there. I was looking for how to use a Fish Tape to fish a coax cable down to my basement...this is exactly what I need. AWESOME
@schidtdemon Glad you had a chance to watch this video so you can help your customers out more! Thanks for commenting & keeping "joe" near by. Anytime you have a howto/DIY question, let me know. Always glad to hear from my viewers, so thank you! Joe :0
I liked the episode when you came down from the attic and needed a drink you were sweatin bad! It reminded me of some jobs I did around the house...but you at least know what youre doing. I was sweaty trying to figure things out :)
@infringinator I had to laugh at that one. It's good to sweat all out, some times.....to appreciate your efforts. Did you ever make it to your attic area? I know you had issues up there, once upon a time. Joe :0
@VideoJoeKnows I can get in the attic, but there are firewalls everywhere so im screwed. I dont know how to remove the recessed cannister either. I'll have to see if the Joe made a video yet
@infringinator Don't think I've made a video on how to remove recessed light fixture cans. It is possible though. It gives you a little access for fishing wires, looking for leaks, etc.. A little confined quarters....but do-able.....depending on what type of can you have. I guess you'd have to get into one to see if yours are capable of being removed then reinstalled. Let me know of any concerns or what you are doing, for you to need to remove the can. Joe :0
I've never seen someone so excited about electrical tape! :-) Thanks for the how-to. I just bought a fish tape and wasn't totally sure about connecting wire to it.
@jjbeemer I've got to get you interested in the video somehow....don't I?!!....lol What can I say. I guess my passion shows, when I'm trying to show viewers how to save money on their howto/DIY projects. Hope it will keep you around. Joe :0
Needed fish tape yesterday and didn't have one so I just used a plumbing snake wire (the flat kind, not the spring shaped kind) to pull romex from my attic yesterday. Comes wound similar to fish tape, without the plastic case. Worked perfectly. I tape from the tip of the wire all the way past the romex sheath to keep from snagging anything with the edge of the sheathing during the pull. That way there is a smooth transition as the romex passes thru the wall and box.
@Oldspirit189 Thanks for keeping "joe" around. Hope you're learning a few things. Joe :0
