  • Remember to wash the watermelon! It does grow on the ground and it's part of the dirty dozen. Even if you're not going to juice it, wash it off. As you cut into it, the dirt gets into the meat. How to wash? A wet cloth with a very small amount of soap, if it will fit in your sink just wash as normal. Making sure to rinse it clean of any soap.

  • how do u feel about jack lalanne's power juicer

  • Hi, Anthony! First a frivolous question: your website is called "rawmodel;" is it because you are a model? Are you a model? You're so BEAUTIFUL!... Also, Americans in the South and Chinese pickle the rind of watermelon, in vinegar and sugar, or in salt, sugar, soysauce and sesame oil, the latter for the next-day consumption... OK, see ya! (It is rare to see how some men can be so good-looking in a modern way yet so into nature.)

  • whats hyberdized melon mean???

  • they keep selecting plants with desirable traits (like no seeds for some people) and this brings the plant further and further from the original design that nature created. SO....its probably not something to get too worked up about (unlike GMO) but its something to consider. The wilder the food, the better. That melon would never make it in nature.

  • @basedeal

you want to avoid All Seedless Melons, and Only buy Melons with its SEEDS, as nature intended. Its better for you and the earth, and Seedless Melons are deficient in Nutrients compared to Natural melons

Seedless Melons are Very Hybridized and Un natural

  • @LegPains i doubt that. you should check your facts before you state your opinion as fact.

  • @faqyaself

No actually it IS fact, ALL fruits are supposed to contain seeds. the botanical definition of a fruit is a plant product bearing SEEDS

  • @LegPains right...um...im not arguing the definition. "Its better for you and the earth, and Seedless Melons are deficient in Nutrients compared to Natural melons" was your quote...and your opinion.

  • New to me!

  • I like your juice better than mine (I have a champion juicer). I know it blends the food rather than masticate it, but I think it's not a big deal as long as I drink it right away. And the mouth part is so much bigger than my juicer! When I move in a couple of years I will give my champion away and get breville. Or should I just invest in Green Star?

  • I would NOT get a greenstar...unless you have lots of time and dedication for juicing. There is some new one that Matt Monarch is selling that seems pretty good. I would simply blend in a vitamix with water and strain it, or get a breville. Im all about the vitamix and strainer.

  • @Rawmodel

A Greenstar will not juice melons. But for hard fruits, veggies & leafy greens it is great. I have had one for 3 years and wouldn't be without it. Cleanup takes about 5 minutes. So your statement about needing "lots of time" is nonsense. No one juicer is ideal for everything. Your videos are great.

  • I really loved your method. I just watched another one that was almost the exact opposite. I like your method of taking the rind and some of the pink. Seems much more nutritious and refreshing without too much sweetness. And I love the idea of having all that beautiful melon for later :) Thta juice looks SO delicious. I want to make some right now lol

  • ur water melon has no seeds at all! how come.. i'm jealousss ! xD

and..lol ur kinda hot.. but lol u rele need to gain some more weight!!

  • haha...really? Lean and mean!!!

  • lol yeah relee.. ! ;)

  • It was mentioned recently that drinking a certain amount of watermelon juice could have a similar effect to viagra. but it was also mentioned that that same amount would cause diarrhea.

  • is one worth the other? Sounds REALLY messy to me.

  • I LOOOOVE watermelon juice. After I eat the inside, I'll juice the rinds with an apple.

  • SO the rinds and seeds are juiceable aswell?

  • The rind for sure...the seeds - run them through, I doubt youll be getting juice but it wont hurt your juicer.

  • thanks

  • Anthony i want to come get spring water in NJ :))

  • Stokes is awesome, but we went to Cold Spring Harbor in Long Island and that was great too. If youre in the city, its way easier to get to Cold Spring Harbor!

Let me know how it goes!!!

  • That look pretty seedless.

  • Yes it was...gotta make due. At least it was organico...

  • wonder if it is good blended too? have you tried it that way?

  • really horrible...just so grainy and not good. Try it but youll see.

  • are you serious about taking all of the watermelon?even the skin?wow never tried that :) i made it few days ago but without the skin blended together...

  • Thanks for the video, you are so right about how refreshing the juice is. I have made this many times, and it is wonderful, so yummy. Some say that watermelon juice is very good for the skin. I don't know, but it is good stuff, even kids will drink it, funny color, and all, so you know it must taste good. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work! Peace, and blessings :o)

  • Hey thanks for this!

I'll try it very soon :)

  • I love watermeoln juice! you can not find any on the shelves any where! Your video is cool, but some of us out here don't have juice machines?!? Do you know any where you can get it already done up? Coool videoo thought! Thanks for posting it.

  • I highly doubt it...I think it would go bad. Im sure people make it locally, but investing $100 into a machine with friends and family might not be the worst idea. Think about it...

  • Anthony what brand of juicer are you using?

  • It looks like the Breville Juicer.

  • I love fresh watermelon juice!! It's so refreshing and easy to make!! Juicing is so healthy for you. I just picked up a watermelon yesterday. What do you think about the Champion juicer? It weighs 27 pounds, but it's a great machine. Peace, Kim

  • Hmmm...Im wondering how you know what flyspray tastes like ;)

The skin will add a smidge of bitterness, but seriously, it was still sweet and easy to drink.

Maybe try a carrot peeler and take off the very edge of the melon, but juice the rest. It likely is the melon youre working with.

Im glad you tried it though...

  • haha i tried this it was disgusting...to tasted kinda like watermelon juice mixed with flyspray...maybe its the water melon i used. the flesh was nice...maybe water melons in new zealand have yucky skin. i prefer to cut away the green but juice the white part. and the flesh.

  • I must admit that I am having big trouble staying raw but if he would hold a potluck or a class or something, I would absolutely attend, only he would have to come here, to Sweden.. I think having a talk with him, face to face, would help me a lot! He is sooo sweet!

  • Hi, yes Mr. Anderson IS 'Superman'! He is teaching us all these awesome raw stuff. Great looks and great personality, he helps heal the world and that certainly makes him SUPERMAN! Oh, dear, I sound like I have a crush on the guy. well, he is very handsome looking!

    Love, Sweden!

  • I believe watermellons have not much sugar...

If you buy a normal non-organic watermellon, is it better to peel it?

And what about mellons, do you use the rind too? Isn´t too bitter to enjoy it?

  • can someone please tell me where this guy was raised, I'm in love with him lol..not b.c. of his looks btw- b.c. he is so healthy and smart, it's impossible to find guys like this!!

  • I cant believe you blended with the skin too! normally I just get rid of the skin by cutting in half then cut another half then slice between the skin (just the green thing) and the fruit... finally blend it. You can put a little bit of salt to put some "kick" to the juice. That's my recipe :P

  • your strange.

  • So the foam is a good thing?

  • I couldn't see that its a bad thing. Reminds me of sitting around drinking beers with the foam on top. But now...this juice is SOOOO much better in every way.

Enjoy the watermelon flesh with a spoon or your hands, and then juice the rind...so easy :)

  • I don't have to try this to tell you that it's good. Watermelon is my favorite fruit of all. The juice is only as good as the fruit. Sometimes you get one that's not sweet and it's not the same. This one didn't look ripe enough. Watermelon when fully ripe should have a deep red color not a pale pink like this one. It should also have a sweet duey aroma similar to a fresh mowed lawn. Watermelon is pure heaven. I love, love, love it. The only fruit that can come close to it's goodness are mangoes.

  • mmm-hmmm...totally agree with you.

watermelon and mangoes are my two most favorite fruits.

  • You said it buddy!!! Actually I love all fruits. I can't really think of one I don't like. But if I had to live off of two for the rest of my life, it would definitely be watermelon and mangoes. These two beautiful tastey fruits lets me know there is a God who placed wonderful foods on this planet not only to satiate our hunger but to nourish us as well. Unfortunately, man has gotten away from these things instead eating a bunch of dead, processed garbage. And we are paying with our health.

  • have you ever tried the same ingredients in the blender instead of the juicer? more like a soup and nothing

    wasted. easier clean up too.

  • Try this..you will likely NOT enjoy it. I did, and it was a grainy mess. Even with the vitamix. Try it and see. I was thinking just like you, but it didnt work out when I tried it. I wish it would have...

  • yay, another Raw Food Lifer! thank you, kind sir.

  • I had no idea you could do this. Very cool!

  • Whats up B!!! Youll be seeing me on Food Network in no time ;)

    I'll be calling soon!

  • I just got the same melon from my co-op yesterday and it had 3 seeds max...lol. I ate the inside and threw out the rind....feeling a bit like a dunce now. :D

  • are u single ur hawt =D

  • Haha...sorry...taken.

    Thanks though, always appreciated.

  • What's your opinion on organic veg/fruit? Is this melon organic?

  • This melon is organic. Unless you want to consume petrochemicals, its best to truly love yourself and fork over the extra money.

I buy a few non-organic items in the winter (cucumbers and avocados) but I always peel them.

Its really worth it. Look into the studies and youll be shocked by the mineral content and the lack of pesticides.

  • What kind of juicer is that? Is it better than the Jack Lalane Power-Juicer? :)

  • Its a breville. My mom has a Jack Lalane and I thought it was good until I used this one. It is more expensive though, but its REALLY powerful. You might be able to get away with the Jack for a while, but sooner or later you might want to get this one. VERY easy to clean too. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for watching! Really appreciate it.

  • The seeds comment was just brilliant. Great comedy timing.

  • Great video. My mother in law makes watermelon juice without the rind, using a blender, and she adds white sugar. I was like NOOOOO! Maybe next time she will try it with the rind and omit the sugar. Old habits die hard for traditional folks though. I am always disappointed when I buy a seeded watermelon and get one of those mutants with only a few white, impotent "seeds". Bummer, man.

  • i like fruit sugar and...

    where are the seeds?

  • yes...I know. I posted about this on the website. The guy at the co-op said it had seeds...it did NOT. I was bummed...especially because I discovered it as soon as I cut it in half. I like fruit sugar too...but fiber gives it a nice buffer.

  • i made this, its good.

  • Nice! Glad to hear it!

  • I liked the sound effect you added in when you put the excess juice from the watermelon in with the other pink stuff. Very PRO! ;)

  • It's interesting that you warn us against too much sugar intake in one go. Something to think about.

  • Indeed...most people are so gung-ho about juicing ANYTHING that they forget that they are injecting WAY too much sugar into their bloodstream at once. We have to remember that fiber is our friend, especially when it comes with sugar. And I like to eat the watermelon flesh anyways instead of juicing it all.

  • Great video as always Anthony, thanks very much! Watermelon, lime and ginger makes a really nice juice - fizzy, refreshing and quite stimulating.

I was brought up told not to eat the rind! So you learn something every day. Thanks :-)

  • I've already made watermelon juice a bunch of times this season (and I'm upstate from you in NY:)

  • I'm glad you mentioned about the seeds! wow I didnt know you could do the rind....made a lot. Cant wait to try this. thanks.

  • awesome! Thanks for sharing [:
