  • Clarence's book Big Man explains so much about himself, his life in the band and his exceptional friendship, bond, brother relationship with Bruce. You will be blessed by reading it.

  • My favorite all time Bruce song and the one that got me into him at an early age after my mom played it for me.This performance took place two years to the day before I was born.If it took place at 3:10pm New York time,it would be exact.

  • The Big Man there was nothing like him. The world will be a sadder place without him. I hope that you and Danny are together tonight working on a new tune. Rest in Peace. You have earned it. I saw six concerts on this tour (Born in the USA). It was great to see it here again. Thanks for the posing. The only thing missing here was Stevie but he came back.

  • BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUCEE!!!!

  • I pray for you and the people of Iran so one day the Boss can play their. Springsteen Forever.

  • @Perpetualmusik hopefully not

  • Esto, comparado con Barcelona, pues como que no hay color ehhhhh

  • The Boss with the E Street band is about as good as it gets!

  • I saw him in Frankfurt Germany in '85 on the Born In The USA tour while I was stationed in Mannheim. He just got married, and jammed, jammed, jammed. It was great. Took about a 20 minute break during a 4 hour concert no opening band. Was all the Boss and the E Street Band, and me with some hot German chick on my shoulders the whole time that I just met there. I couldn't put her down once she climbed up. I was 2 rows out center stage and getting crushed by the crowd. It was GREAT!!!

  • @msgais that sounds unreal.

  • @msgais I saw him at Roundhay Park Leeds in '85, the sun was shining the beer was flowing, a very fond memory. He has aged slightly better than I have :)

  • @msgais Hey, I was there on inter rail as a young 15 y.o. twit at the same time, and remember noting the American soldiers on the same train, and thinking they were there to see the show... Wierd times, eh...

  • great live band.....unbelievable energy

  • with love and great thanks xxxx

  • The Boss at his best

  • LOVE BRUCE

  • Bruce and Clarence are the best of friends the kiss was stage play.

  • NON HO PAROLE!!!!!!!!

  • Priceless kiss between bruce and clarence:) it's a shame a moment like that has not been able to further race relations in this racist country. not just between blacks and whites, but between all minorities and whites. Encore!!!

  • "It's a town full of losers, and I'm pulling out here to win"

Is a lyric every young person can relate to!!! True genius, cheers from Swindon (the town I love but want to escape to), England x

  • they took a break so bruce could say "why the truck did you kiss me?!"

  • the lyrics in this song are like a poem... it's the best song lyrics i've heard ever. the creativity is unreal - this song is so under rated, easily in my top 10!

  • A beautiful friendship.

  • do bruce and clarence kiss?

  • @Cartoonski yeah, what's goin on with that?

  • oh how I love this song! ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND LET THE WIND BLOW BACK YOUR HAIR!!

  • Clarence Clemons playing the sax, Steve van Zant acustic guitar (or is it Lofgren already, i can't tell) and, of course, the Boss doing the vocals, wow. One of the greatest team-ups rock music ever has seen.

  • @hawkeyepierce67 It's Lofgren, Steve left the band in 1981

  • @JusRam1

Thanks alot for the info man.

  • It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win!

  • I love how Bruce kissed the Big Man at the end lol It just goes to show that he has a great time what he does and he doesn't give a shit what he does. We all know he's not gay nor is the Big Man, it's all entertainment people!

  • que buena!!!! cartagena, spain

  • Max Weinberg always has a blast beating them drums!!!

  • And all he needs is that little basic drum set.

  • @allenmiester . your not comfortable yet with your hetersexuality. you must be gay then.

  • What the heck!!! Did Bruce kiss the sax player in the mouth??? Why??? Viva Mexico ca... maradas!!!

  • because hes in france with all the fags

  • big man!

  • gotta love the big man

  • rock n roll poet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aw... I know he loves Patti, but if that wasn't true love, I don't know what is! XD

Not that I wouldn't have kissed Clarence, though... I always start to cry during his solo!

  • wow that was a long kiss

  • Now that is a true bromace right there. Great song even better live

  • WTF Bruce kissed the big man on the lips. wooooooooooooooooooooooooow still a good song though.

  • that has a lot to do with the fact that the E Street Band (most of them) were the backing band on bat out of hell. I think Bat out of Hell came out a year after Born to run, and Jim Steinman denies that he intentiaonally ripped Bruce off. I believe him. It's just a funny coincidence. check out "Night" from that album and compare it to Bat out of Hell

  • thjats the dumbest thing i heard yet ,theres no way that happened ,they were way too busy .they were about to tour and scared shitless about saving there asses ,there record co was about to give them the boot if born to run didn;t sell ,and the rest they say is history ,40 yrs burning down the road

  • max weinberg and roy bitten did play on bat out of hell, though when it was released i wouldn't know

  • 1975- Yes, Bruce was first. And yes, Roy and Max did play on Bat.

  • Co-incidence my arse. Steinman and Fatboy ripped off a far superior artist.

  • chorus sounds like bat out of hell! which came first? bat was 1977 , i have a notion Bruce was first!

  • I love the lyrics and can relate somewhat. I've loved this song for 30 years

  • Truly one of the best rock anthems of all time seems to just pop well vocalized executed and just so fun to watch.

  • my friend casey doesnt think your are good bruce, but you are awesome!!!!!

  • not sure to leave it alone or give ya a thumbs up ill go with thumbsies

  • That freetobefreddy fella is a bit of spastic isnt he?...

  • A singer for the masses!

    Greetings from Iran

  • from jersey to iran everybody can appriciate the boss. its a beautiful thing

  • @disndat11 Easily one of the top 5 songs every written.. for the folks in Iran, you guys should check out (if you have not already), the song called, Long Walk Home from his album, Magic. Holds a lot of relevance to what you guys may be going through...

  • @shantanudas

THanks for the suggestion, will check it out.

  • @disndat11 Thanks for your words. Dont know why, but they made me fill a bit my cup of hope. Greetings from Portugal.

  • the greatest song ever

with jungleland a close second lol

  • hell yeah, then Born to Run

  • a everyday person with heart can achieve greatness, that is what he is.... Bruce!!

  • Cause he is man enough to show affection in the city of love...

  • I love that response. nice

  • @Derek: Because by the time this was filmed, he had moved from New Jersey to California.

  • Increïble el Boss,es l'amo!Gràcies pel que ens dónes!!

  • This is my Favorite song next to Hearts Burst Into Fire!

  • awsum song !

  • I ADORE this song <333

  • Greatest song of all time. Does anyone know what key harmonica he is using at the start of the song?

  • I think it's probably F

  • thanks for that

  • Just got home from his Cardiff concert - Ooooh amazing! He played this and "Badlands" and "Because The Night" and masses more - I can die now!!!! Cos Bruce has been to Wales and brought his Soul with him to share with us!!! Just wonderful! Seen him 7 times and tonight was the best!

  • This guy was fuckin dramatic. Springsteens one of those guys who makes you believe in honest living. Go to Church work hard marry your bride take care of your kids. Softball and all the good stuff. And I think he really is a good role model. He took the massive stage and did good by sendinga possitive message.

  • I read that somewhere. :))

  • this song tends to bring tears to my eyes. looooove bruce and the E street band. that being said, the kiss confuses me. beeeecause i'm pretty sure they're not gay. haha.

  • The kiss proves that bruce is "THE BOSS"

  • Two great lyrics.I know its late we can make if we run and I got this guitar and I learned how to make her talk.

  • Thunder Road sounds better live than on album.Bruce actualy sounds better live than on album.

  • He kisses Clarence an awful lot, doesn't he?

.. I love it haha. Manly love.

  • Clarence deserves kisses. he took a spectacular solo on this song. I wanted to kiss him too!

  • wow what a rush i was at this concert at la cornerve in paris didnt even know that they made a video of it sure brings back memories.the boss is one of the best of all times.what lyrics .a complete story in a song.

  • when?

  • probably means the line "hey thats me" looks kinda funny 2 me

    so just keep on talkin

  • I abosuletly MUST see him again!! Love him and the E Street Band!!!!

  • As a former Jersey boy myself I may be biased, but BOSS music never gets old and with age he gets better. Saw him last year in Jersey and Dearborn.

  • this is bruce's crowning masterpiece of songs.. the kiss at the end of this video is WAY COOL111

  • Just sit back and enjoy this people

  • Just sit back and enjoy this people

  • THIS IS FOR ALL OF THE BRUCE HATERS!!

YOU SUCK!! BIG DONKEY DICKS! so shut up...

because Bruce is the BEST. You will NEVER make music like him. or write lyrics like him. he is amazing. so. get over ur self.

  • I love the kiss at the end !

    So beautiful ! :-)

  • your mother, instead of being a cum slurping whore, should have had your fucknut ass aborted...you don't even have the balls to insult race or sexual orientation anywhere but online, you're a coward. I'm white, straight and 5' 4", but I'd knock seven shades of shit out of you in my sleep, god only knows what that "nigga" would do to you...

  • You think being gay is a bad thing?

    You're a fucking idiot, sir.

  • Ubermann88HH

Exactly what is wrong with you?

You have issues if you like to go on peoples videos just to insult them.

You dont know anything about this sort of music.

Cmon Nigger is taking it to far, thats just plain racist.

    Quit it.

  • ur a fuckin idiot piece of shit this is one of the greatest songs ever made and bruce and his band amounted to more than u ever will u fuckin cunt

  • No there not, and by the way his name is Clarence and he's cool and not at all what you saying, you have no right to judge him. Actually you have no right to judge any of them. Quit talking about things that you have no idea about.

  • love bruce and this song.. one of my favorites by him along with drive all night. but what was up with the kiss at the end? hahaha
