  • @TIJD19 i can tell youre depressed and dissapointed, we should all be. i still " love " this region with all its diversity and ray ray ray. However , some people cannot expect to "hyp up dem self" then others should keep quiet. i hoped that this crap was done, but apparently, we jcans really dont know when to stop, eg, goin..... Nah call no name doh still. anyways. is summer, di peopledem jus happy up dem self no. later

  • @TIJD19 Why do these tiny islands keep comparing themselves to the islands of the greater antilles? it doesnt matter how many highrise buildings r built in pos, Jamaica is still twice the size of t&t, n u guys r so close to venezuela, one day they might just take u guys over, they should actually, insignificant little piece of land. lol

  • This all may be true, but it does n change the fact the Port of Spain is a STEAMER, totally lacking in style and class. You can put tall buildings in a hot slum, they look nice, but you are still in a slum.

  • Next time you can film some videos of the other islands of the Caribbean which will represent how much you appreciate your region... The entire region... some or big, build-up or tarnish, beautiful beaches or no beaches, vegetation or none.... Have a great day - Keep up the good work...

  • This is not a competition- I see it as a nice gesture - Every Caribbean island have it own uniqueness...

  • @softbrown10 Thanks for the first sensible comment on his video in a long time...it s a damn shame how silly and small-minded people can be. If I had known this video would have devolved into some asinine "TNT vs. Jamaica" thread I definitely would have thought twice about posting this

  • it really does not look good for people in the smallest region in the world to be tracing incessantly. im sorry for all my insults. i hope yall accept my apology and hopefully we can get back to friendly competition in this region. god bless you and amen

  • im jcan and ive been to tt. personally, i could never live there , but thats just my opinion. In any case , we all know why tt isnt impoverished and its cuz of oil. anyways, im not going to fuss, ive repeated myself on this site too many times and i wont do it again

  • listen and listen up good y'all. Jamaica cannot be compared to any other caribbean islands. trust me ive been to trinidad and barbados and jamaica is far ahead. First of all, only in the capitol of trinidad u find A-CLASS road. Compared to jamaica, we r the only island that has highwaw right throughout the island. No need to b rude but the only reason y trini boast so much is bcuse of the oil. But wait untill these investors suck it out. we r still the leading caribbean island trust me.

  • going to UWI in Trinidad and listening to Jamaicans and Barbados talk about their homes I can safely say that Trinidad is wayy more developed and organised. If you have never been to Trinidad then you can't sit there and compare your home to Trinidad, however I have been to Jamaica and Barbados and though the natural sites are nice in comparison to development Trinidad wins hands down.

  • @perfectdevin Can you explain what you mean by being more organised, I dont understand what that means, and does development mean tall buildings? I have seen vids of Barbados & the architecture has a certain caribbean feel to it. you see it & think blue seas & skies.Being Ja'can, I know it's development didnt start overnight. I wont begin to assume what 'organized' means, you'll have to explain that

  • @perfectdevin

i really should not post this but since you trini are so proud of your country and consider jamaica the worst, why so many trini are living here in jamaica. even the other day our coast guard spot a boat out at sea with 9 persons on board and heyyyy gess what 7 out of the nine was fr trinidad and the other 2 fr haiti. people we r one caribbean and we have to look out for each other. jamaica is the emerald of the caribbean and the centre of all visits.

  • the only nice part of Jamaica are the resorts, lol that's a 3rd world country right there. But resorts are nice everywhere, they are no reflection of the country in which they are located. Jamaica, murder capital of the globe. Kingston Jamaica, the national capital that people avoid, it may as well have no roads, because no one wants to go. Trinidad practically owns Jamaica, they recently bought Jamaica's flagship airline. Look at your english Andre, shitty education there obviously.

  • @TdotSoul jamaica, isnt the worlds murder capital, it has the third highest murders per capita in the world. yeah, thats bad, but, according to statistics, jcans who arent involved in crime are safer than those in tt, since half the murder victims in jamaica are somehow involved in crime

  • from one trini livin in bmore one hell hole same as the next. Happiness is a state of mind and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder

  • NOW ah home sick........THANX FOR SHARING THIS :-)

  • yes you are right you cock sucker thats why we \are better than you and our ppl get wwater everyday indians who cares about fucking india you cunt whole india is a poor ass country that gets refugee status from the usa trinidad kils one another we dont care about you cunt hole

  • @roler031 listen to the supposed most educated people in the caribbean . yout, you put barbados to shame. is who trouble you or is jus wake up you wake up feeling depressed about how boring barbados natural environment is. even trinidad have nicer mountains than yall. anyways, i wont stoop to your level and respond to you again , so you can go on talking to yourself. i hope everyone else ignores you too

  • Just saw this video and there are a lot of comments comparing Jamaica to Trinidad, as a Trinidadian having grown up in T&T, Jamaica was never on our radar. It's almost like Jamaica didn't really exist. Trinidad envisions itself as a city state (Singapore). I think if Trinidadians want to compare themselves to any city they really aspire to be a little Caracas or Miami , sorry Jamaicans, not Jamaica & this is not a "DISS''

  • damn...dont know how, but my dream land is t&t...i wanna go and live there...much luv for people form t&t...nice video...real...peace

  • dislike

  • Thanks for taking the time to film. When I left Trinidad these high rises were just houses. Looks like a new place.

  • y u got this stupid song tho wtf

  • nice vid....I'm no Trini..but i've been lots times for the carnival....lots of luv to your country!

  • proud of Trini - as a british born graduate, my mom born in POS laventille, i will consider movin to POS to put in my two cents ya feel me - keep it movin Trin

  • boi do i miss home terribly :(

  • fuck trinidad yall will eventually ill out yall self

  • @roler031 Ungrateful parasites.Trinidad is up & down the Caribbean helping out y'all with it's oil money & you ungrateful parasites could only curse out Trinidad.Trinidad gave you Bajans the money to build your fucking airport, they helped you to make your festival Crop Over more attractive to get your damn dependent white ppl tourist money. Maybe it's a damn good thing when we have an Indian govt & they just forget you other islanders and focus on tighter relations with Delhi India.

  • @lx0az9 do you think that Delhi India will treat us better? Or is it because they are Indians that you think that you will have some kind of brotherhood going on. I have seen how Indians from India view Indians from the west indies. Its not good hear how they view you all. So please stop the fighting,

  • watching this video brought me back .... lost memories .. of the past ... love this video ... and great song choice

  • mr. sexson, what you said is wrong . new kinston does not have more towers than pos. But , i dont like towers. i feel quite comfortable in jamaica and dont see the need for such structures unless you have a population problem

  • Comment removed

  • Btw, I don't understand what these other islanders are always bitching about. I looked at other videos of other cities and didn't see canadians ganging up on the americans nor did i see yanks criticising Australia etc. Each country in the caribbean has its God given charm and Trinidad has oil but has a long way to go to get first world status

  • nice footage!

  • The undecott website list the projects completed and in the making. Also on the transcorpcu website is the company that is taking on the broadgate tower project click on broadgate place on that site. Those projects were under the old administration and some might be thrown out by the new if it wont serve the country well.

  • Ja will get there lew.The GOVTT had to get those projects going to attract foreign investors and to help bring T&T up to date with the rest of the world. It was also to help create more jobs opportunity an raise the standard of living. But during all the the gov did overspend and neglected the basic things that the citizens of T&T really needed to be addressed. Under the new administration the projects will continue but will be evaluated.Another project call the broadgate tower that is

  • supposing to be constructed also in POS it will be about 24 storeys with smaller buildings surrounding it. The areas been already cleared for the project to begin this year. Also the second Academy of performance and art is already being built in san fernando south of the city. The first one was complete in POS last year. Roads are currently being built but the rapid rail system project might be scrap. It was just to easy the traffic.

  • i really like the way trinidad has spruced up port of spain. i just wish we could do the same with our downtown. its just too bad we packed all of downtown kingston with buildings around 10 storeys so there is no space for developement.

  • @lewdable Ja will soon get there..I will tell you that manning did this to help bring in more foreign investors to the island and attract visitors etc Boosting development was to bring trinidad up to date with the rest of the world. With that he over spend and neglected some of basic needs that the citizens of T&T really cared for. We love the development yes but everything else should have come with it. Our economy is now in jeopardy but most of the projects has to continue.

  • we dont hate yall. yall hate us. well, not hate, just scorn or should i say look down on us which is what really gets me mad. no country is better than any other. i think this whole hoorah should end here. ok im done. im just saying, yall aint better than nobody, im not saying anything more even though i could

  • @lewdable "im not saying anything more even though i could"-Amen to that

  • @lewdable Yes indeed we both can continue until thy kingdom come and we both intelligently made our points... so it is best we end this like you said. May both our countries continue to achieve the goals that are set and don't look down nor as you said scorn each other neither our neighboring friends.

  • csme is nothing without ja. take out ja , you lose half the market it was meant to produce. and again. we just import from yall cuz we want to. we dont have to

  • @lewdableYou need to search up "Economy of the Caribbean" to understand my point of what resources is in greater demand..

  • lets see the csme last without us. the point of it is to provide larger markets. take away ja take half the market. what money are you talking about. yeah the gov is doing crap but so was yours and most other governments. its in the hands of the people and we have seen imports fall by 16 % and local consumption grow. thats the power of people and thats what we have more of. Trinidad is just taking revenge for its inferiority some time back. its unstable and their dominion cant last

  • @lewdable You tend to forget that caricom didnt call jamaica is was form by T&T JA,GUY and BA the four major caribbean islands in the region. Bauxite and alumnia is jamaica's secondary export not first first its tourism. So if that slide a bit it wont really have a major effect unlike if tourism was to drop due to an international economic slide the same with oil.

  • @lewdable inferiority? we are a nation of growth and every nation must try to dominate in what ever sector its mostly strong in. But in the other hand must share its resources fairly to other neighboring countries. Yes I am aware of the T&T/JA issues.. you guys made it clear during the air J takeover that you hate trini's. So If we dominate its because we know our potentials and what our country is capable of doing. Yes we are unstable due to the global economic and bad governance same with JA

  • ok lets see how long caricom would last without us. the point of the csme is to provide a larger market for caribbean entrepeneurs. remove ja and you remove half that market. as i said.we can import from elsewhere, we just dont. As much as trini isnt completly dependent on oil , lets see it last a year without it. weve lost bauxite for two years and were not dead

  • @lewdable T&T oil had subsided over the past fews years and still going strong due to its other heavy industrial resources like petroleum, natural gases ,asphalt , iron, ammonia, cement and manufacturer goods that still dominate. Also an aluminium plant is currently being built. If Trinidad was to loose oil there will be a slide but the economy will still hit back. We have a way in doing business to make sure the country wont fall under.

  • .the reason jamaican tourism was growing when others were falling is because everytime you come here there is something new. who started this . idont like cursing trinidad on a video meant to glorify it. but i wont read crap and not say anything. trinidad must learn to respect their neighbous. plus after the tivoli incident murders have gone from 4 aday to 1 aday. we just want to see if itll continue.on top of highway 2000, we have a 400 million dollar us road project

  • @lewdable You need to learn your history in dept to confirm my point. And as for caricom it was established in T&T with edwin carrington still secretary general since 1992 till now...You speak as though Jamaica dont need caricom as though they are a first class country with an economic goldmine which is not even close.Every island has resources thats needs to be shared equally throughout the region if not then ja should pull out . Same way the u.s established NAFTA to benefit their ecomony.

  • aaam , whats your point. we dont need to import from trinidad. we can fill our needs from elsewhere. we just do it for the sake of caricom. everyone Knows that. plus, apart from the highway 2000 project which will give us the longest highway in the english speaking caribbean, and like 2 others, we have a 400 million us dollar road program.

  • @lewdable all that money and where is Ja? still in the same hole its always been in.. Your point is still useless and if JA dont need our imports then get it elsewhere.. Like i said the GOJ had sold its self out alot foolishly limiting the country potential.Tourism is the mainstream and Jamaica is still not dominant in many areas so of course you need caricom not just for the sake of it..The economy been struggling in the financial sector for quite sometime and is in more dept than T&T.

  • The new T&T PM Mrs Kamla Persad has acknowlegde in the TT express, Guadian and newsday that current mega projects that was on the way under the previous administration will continue but will be closely evaluated for any corruptions...

  • @littlemafiyah boo i hate kamla

  • You may say we cant export but your lying. TRinidad is just a thief. how can a 3rd world country like trini refuse patties which are declared safe by first world countries. you would be crap without oil. barbados has barely any oil yet they better than trinidad. Trinidad would be worse than jamaica. Bout trinidad is dis and dat. look on your hospitals. Ithought ours were bad. You people are happy when one or two hotels come your way. We dont even have space for all the hotels that want in.

  • actually. trinidad cant live without jamaica. 15% of your exports come to us. lets not forget the trinidadian who plotted to blow up jfk.

  • Comment removed

  • @lewdable Plus you guys import it because you need it right? So whats your point? Whatever makes a profit is good for business. so the more you guys import the more money the business man makes right? Brush it up you guys are still worst than T&T no matter which way you slice the cake...everyone knows Jamaica its nothing new to see or know.. but when when they experience t&t and the vibes it leaves them craving for more...you guys exploit alot those leave a bad taste. Read ya papers n ask around

  • look ere dutty sinting. trinidad which has oil, is actually further behind than barbados which barely has any oil. If trinidad did not have oil, they wopuld be worse than jamaica. We import 15% of your exports . you cant live without us. on the other hand. how can a third world country like trini refuse patties which first world countries say are safe. .Air jamaica had to go. its your burden now.

  • @lewdable Talking about 3rd class J'cans need to look themselves in the mirror..was once were but not anymore. I see anger and jealously towards trinis because we are smarter and know how to conduct ourselves in the right manner to get what we need. Talk all you want you guys flock to Trinidad ever year like birds without features...You speak out bout oil? just to let you know oil is no longer our leading exports is now petro, natural gases and steal along with manufacturer goods.Oil stabalized

  • @lewdable Yes but that's like talking about Barbados and Jamaica WITHOUT beaches. You all would be a haiti without it.

  • @cagelsthrough dats messed up towards haitians but so true

  • @cagelsthrough fuck you dont ever tal about barbados we dont have oil and do better than most carribean countrys

  • @roler031 you will even make someone like me curse , disgusting, just spitting hate and nastinest everywhere. yes , we all know barbados is the most advanced in english independent caribbean, but dont get used to it. i think its jealousy too, that a country as ''poor'' as ja should be better known than barbados. mi no waa hear no chat, jus shut up to backside. is peoplelike you while barbados will loose its number 1 position

  • Trinidad own alot of Jamaica businesses including the take over of Air J..That J'cans were all furious about. T&T got way better looking and well spoken women than JA.. Someone mentioned sluts well there are sluts everywhere you go especially in Jamaica..i think they are calling us thieves because we always one step ahead of the game...Kingston might be bigger than PoS but not as developed...and there are still more development to come for T&T stay tune...

  • Comment removed

  • LOL! Jamaica is way behind economic line depending roughly on tourism... god forbid if they loosed that it will be chaos...History shows that Trinidad is more economically stable than Jamaica and more industrialize.. what is going on today in JA is drugs, corruption, Poor work ethics, crime,Bad influence to other countries thinking about baning some reggae artiste,Dont know how to act professionally, Committing crimes abroad, Bad relations with the U.S Gov. Hiding the worst drug lord in history..

  • you know what. its ok. lets not fuss about this.after all, it wont change anything. we'll catch up, but that isnt the most important issue facing us now.

  • LOL....Guys Instead of talkin the usual pack of sh*t about PoS vs Kingston, you should post a vid showing what you guys are talking about as a response to my video. I'd love to see how beautiful and developed Kingston is. Been there only once so I cant really comment.

  • i dont think certain people understand that packing a small area with a bunch of highrises and highways will not prove anything. What trinidad have? port of spain

, chaguanas , arima san fernando, scarborough. oh please. We in jamaica far outshine trinidad when it comes to the number and diversity of large well developed towns which tourists just cant get enough of.

  • The real sense of style and lifestyle is in Kingston darling, the natural setting is far superior to Port of Sluts in Trinidad. I think the theatre, dining , nightlife and homes of Kingston are the most FAHHHHBULOUS in the caribbean. I am sorry my unfortunate , monied but trashy TRini cousins.

  • Yes darling, Port Of Spain is improving, but the neighbourhoods are still lacking. So Plebian and Small island. I mean really!!! The fabulous Caribbean Neighbourhoods are in Kingston and San Juan, My love!!

  • @goineslee what are you talking about kingston it SUCKS....

  • jamaica is far behind economically, but, if infrastructure in this country were to follow economics, we would have no toll roads nor any 6 lane roads. jamaica lives above its means-thats bad- but it makes us look good

  • nice vid makes me want to go

  • LOL. good question

  • Ok why be small minded it is your home is'nt it? Trinidad is my land and of it I am proud and glad, But I can't understand why some people does talk it bad.... Your passport should be confiscated( taken away)

  • You might be right... although my Jamaican friends have been singing that same tune for years! Be sure to post a vid when it happens! :-)

  • They are going to out shine Port Of Spain with what? Jamaica is in economic decline, Trinidad is already the most industrial island in the English speaking Caribbean, it would take a long while for Jamaica to reach the standard that Trinidad is in right now. By the way, the Manhattan of the entire Caribbean is going to be Santo Domingo,DR.

  • @agent2ooo Jamaica's infrastructure is well advance than Trinidad, Port of Spain is a very small city both in area and population, Jamaica has the largest English speaking city in the Caribbean behind the US and Canada. Kingston's population is 698,000 and continues to grow, Jamaica is on its way to becoming the superpower of the Caribbean, we get more FDI flows and more people prefer Jamaica over Trinidad, if it was not for Jamaica Trinidad would not even be were it is today.

  • @shv90210 more people just what a dilapidated city like kingston needs

  • @agent2ooo Jamaica will overshine Trinidad in the future, we did it in the 1990s and 80s and we will do it again, Jamaica is twice the size of Trinidad and we have more advantage, yes Trinidad has oil and natural gas, but they are greater and bigger countries that offer these more advance and cheaper, Jamaica is in a state of Economic decline but this will not stop us, Trinidad will fail once more and the earthquake that is going to hit Trinidad will further destroy the country.

  • @shv90210 Yeah firstly Trinidad and Tobago is more economically, socially and technologically advanced than Jamaica Jamaica never out shined Trinidad and Tobago, NEVER.Talking stupidities like when a earthquake hit us Jamaica never get hit but it always looking so das why all allyuh Jamaican living abroad so calmed down we both know where Trinidad and Tobago stands.

  • @triniboy775 It is obviously that you dont know your facts, the only country in the Caribbean that has a high HDI percentage and has a high technology is Cuba, and Puerto Rico along with Barbados, you talk about Trinidad being more economically, socially and technologically advance than Jamaica, this is just not true, Trinidad is a set of people who are racist and lazy, Jamaicans have nothing to fear from you guys we dont watch you we watch ourselves, Jamaica is more spacious, beautiful and

  • @shv90210 Jamaica's still a shit hole dude get over it

  • @triniboy775 smarter than you guys, Jamaica was once the richest country in the Caribbean but because of bad governance our country decline economically, every year over 3 million people visit Jamaica the most in the Caribbean, a earthquake wont hit Jamaica because we are bless, as for Trinidad its like a stuff can of sardines has the worse health care in the region, city is small and over crowded and Trinidad is no better than Jamaica, we are developing our country so fuck Trinidad peace.

  • @shv90210 Huh I've made my point there is nothing else to say

  • @shv90210 Sigh you Jamaicans are so sad(shake head)

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSexson1984 poor jelous Jamaicans

  • @triniboy775 Why the hell should we be jealous of Trinidad, oh Please, There is a saying in Jamaica dont watch us watch yuh fuckin selves, we Jamaicans dont watch other people, we dont bad mind and corrupt like Trinidad, we work and build our country wi self, wi nah watch Trinidad , Trinidad only a fool would be jealous of Trinidad, what does Trinidad have that we dont, oh wait let me see, oil and natural gas, the oil is not even yours it belongs to Venezuela but Trinidad is a big thief what

  • @triniboy775 Jamaica by itself is developing our own country, just the other day a team from trinidad came to Jamaica to view and understand our vision 2030 NDP plan, cause they were so fool and thief that they wanted to steal our plan cause our plan is better we do it longer and better, but trinidad wants to do it quicker thats why they are going to fail, Jamaica is not jealous of trinidad in anyway, trinidad is not even that popular like Jamaica Jamaica is the best face it, in sports and all

  • @MrSexson1984 Jamaica's population may be larger but we have much more wealth

  • @danyou868 but Trinidad is long way to get first world status it consider third world country. Plus New Kingston got high rise buildings than port of spain

  • @MrSexson1984

Not saying this to be mean, but its not even close. There are no buildings in Kingston exceeding 17 floors. In Port of Spain there are over a dozen buildings that exceed that, a couple in the over 25 floor range.

  • @gcantri New Kingston was constructed in the 1970's, Most of the buildings have exited from that time, it's not new. I may be wrong but I think these high rises in Trinidad seem to be about 3 or 4 years old

  • @brandycordell

Yes, you are right. The bulk of POS highrises in the video, have been constructed within the latter part of the 2000s (part of Manning's vision 2020). In Kingston on the other hand, there haven't been any new high rise construction since the 70's at least to rival the Meridien and Hilton Kingston. I know there are plans to revitalise Kingston and proposed projects. In Port of Spain, the revitalisation is ongoing.

  • @gcantri yea, they say there are plans to revitalise downtown, but nothing ever materialises in jamaica , we have more hope on the north coast than in dtown kingston

  • @lewdable Trust me. The same nonsense happens in Trini. It takes about 10 years to get any major project off the ground. Then when it does, the Government that is responsible gets villified and booted out of office for doing it. And the cycle continues with a new Govt.

  • @gcantri omg i like that. yea man trinidad jus a come since the latter part of 2000. unlike jamaica who has been constructed since the early 70s much less today. trinidad has no propper beach, no good road unless its in the capitol and so much more. jamaica all the way.

  • @gcantri yes but the city has views of slums on the hillsides, where bongos like you live!! Go back to your hovel trash. You can enjoy looking at me poolside at the HYATT.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSexson1984 T&T has one major thing in its favour, geography. If T&T builds the 8 mile bridge between itself and the South American continent the cost of trade for T&T would be cut exponentially.

  • I LOVE DIS FUCKIN VIDEO

  • yea man look madd good

  • you know that they finish those buildings...they look like a min new york ll

  • that's not a good thing

  • no dumbass looks like port of spain

  • nice dude....pos

  • You're making me so homesick right now. Gosh, I want to go back home!

  • no u don't no u don't...LOL!

  • You Did an excellant job on the Video footage and song choice. You Did Trinidad Proud. Thanks!

  • torture to us trini's living outside hehehe.but is great to see home.

  • Really nice.and great song selection.
