  • So the temperature of the water doesnt affect the clay?

  • @TheDraindeimo . Warm water is much more pleasant to throw with than freezing cold water ! Affect the clay ??!! no way , makes no difference at all . SL

  • Stop your hands freezing !! in winter its not a bad idea ! SL

  • hello simon a comment question type thing about the warm water cos of what other folk have put. you might not agree so wouldnt mind your thoughts but what ive found nd bin informed of etc is a couple of things firstly that warm water has more energy and wets the clay down much faster, mainly though that using hot water weakens the skin by opening the pores so the clay gives greater wear and tare on it making your hands soft but also wrinkly and puffy nd can agitate sensitive skin. any thoughts?

  • Simon: TY SOOOOO MUCH! I love the video. It showed me a lot of what I was doing right and a lot of what I was doing wrong. (more wrong than at the moment but I am hoping for the best and practicing as often as I can)... Thank you again. You are a great fella and a most-talented potter.

  • Hi Simon- remember your clip on organizing tools including the leather chamois? lol I am just about to go out to my studio and throw. I also only like to throw with the hot water (it cools quickly so I start hot). Thanks for the clip.
