you should do 09 and 10 now, the old school bands have came up with some awesome thrash albums, and also for 07 you forgot to put megadeth's united abominations album , that was a really good album IMO

I hate how metal has gotten so serious. 3/4 of the appeal of metal has always been its humor/self aware stupidity. Now it just seems like the self aware stupidity has just changed into stupidity. Seriously, look at Fabulous Disaster and then look at Atrocity Exhibition A. Look at Killing is My Business and then look and Endgame. I think Jack Black was right about not being able to kill metal, but you can definitely fucking wound it. I think Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust have the right idea
for me death magnetic is the best album of all these by far with testament's and annihilator's albums as close seconds-best riffage,best melodies/ideas...everything!(its only weak point is the overblown production)well,one might argue it's not as thrashy as the others but who cares anyway?every band needs to evolve.they can't play the exact same repetitive music throughout all of their careers(especially when we talk about career spans as long as metallica's=almost 30 years and still going)
