Bangkok - Dangerous Motorbike Ride Through Traffic Jam

Thailand is freedom. I'm an adult and I make the decision to use these motorcycle taxis in Bangkok because they are cheap and much quicker than car taxis. To hell with America and the other nanny states where government treats adults like children and does not allow them to make adult choices for themselves.

Keep doing that and the body snatchers will get you (thai amateur ambulance) no highly trained paramedics there. You know thai drivers never look behind, just one of them changes lanes on you and your and your going to kiss the road. Also well known fact in thailand, if a truck runs over you they will reverse over you to make sure you are dead and can't ask for compensation.

Dudes! Nice riding. I'm the leather clad big engine sort myself, and if I rode like this everyday I think I'd have a heart attack within a month. It was like playing real life dodgems. Doesn't detract from the fact it was very skillful.

most scooters in bkk or thailand for that matter are 125cc.

wont find many big bikes there but they are there just people with money have them.

@onechrisby When you use a motorcycle for serious transportation instead of a toy, you do not want a 1000cc monster. The 125cc bikes like the one in this video are capable of 70MPH, get 80mpg and cost $1500 out the door. They also last 100,000 kilometers or more with decent care.

I think he is riding an older Wave 110. I ride BKK every day on a beat up old Suzuki Best 125. The best 2 bikes for BKK at the Honda Sonic and the Suzuki Raider. The Raider is my personal preference because it has the extra 10cc over the Sonic. Either way the stripped down body and swept handlebars make a lot of difference in small spaces. There are a lot more interesting, and more technically difficult, rides to be had in and around Chinatown. One day I'll buy a helmetcam and post :)
