  • The first people to find out that parrots could repeat human speech must have been so damn confused.

  • @pinkdreamer1000 if u want to buy an african grey, be ready to save some money cuz theyre at least 700 bucks! Ugghhh! I want one really bad but i dont have enough money. I also have a cute talking cockatiel so i think i have enough to worry about! ;)

  • @pinkdreamer1000 yes, they can start making sounds at a very early age.

  • my CAG has just turned 4 months old, i have had her for a month and she loves it! plz post more :)

  • @pinkdreamer1000 our video camera bit the dust, so it will be awhile before i get another one... sorry... but I still have a few copies of Tiger's DVD left.. They are just not advertised on eBay at the moment because I'm re-doing the ad. let me know if you want one... thx!

  • 00:51-00:55-TigerBird can scratch like a mofo! Very sweet bird. I would love to have one of these little guys someday.

  • He has a very nice voice.

  • looool at 0:52 hahahaha

    And 1:38 hahaha.

  • hes gorgeous, maybe hes not the best talker as others have said but I think he has a much more endearing personality than any others

  • african grey parrots usually talk a lot more when there older :) my bird talks and whistles when she wants something

  • mines named ruby lol shes obsessed with taking a shower

  • u got a pretty amazing bird he has took me to the next level of my research thank u for poasting this video

  • I'm deaf, and the surrounding in the room when the tv is on sounds EXACTLY like this. I can't hear the word patterns because I'm wearing hearing aids, so the words actors say on tv were always blurry to me. This bird really remembers sounds, and voices, but he just doesn't know which word patterns go...

  • lovely bird :) has he been plucking his neck feathers?

  • @teddys999 more molting than picking...

  • Breakfast, school, smart birds, and pomagranate are so random topics that it made me laugh when I saw it.

  • My parrot talk very little but there is life on her talks. Like it means the things. This one is cool but he doesn't know what he says.

  • "you wanna have some breakfast?...you all set?" lol soooo cute!

  • I have looked at so many I love this one....My favorite part is....ya all set? your all set. lololololol Thank you for sharing!!!!

  • african grey parrots are pretty cool, but macaws are the funniest of all. xD

  • one day I left my house and my african grey tought my dog how to roll over 0_0

  • uhm....well sorry but that isn't the best talking parrot....or well...thats just my personal opinion :P ...there is ...Einstein? Alex? Griffin? ....and then i like one thats called Ruby too ;D and thats only african greys....but tigerbird is really great!! :D just not the best... ;) he is sooooo handsome! ;D

  • @SuperJorunn Ahh, yes! Someone who knows their parrots! There are so many great talkers out there. And yes, that's my opinion too! Many more have appeared on YouTube since this vid was uploaded. Thanks for checking us out!

  • 0:59

    ..i got scared o_o

  • my african grey hates any thing red..but her tails red..can someone help

  • shez got a manz voicex)

  • my grandmother has an African Grey, and I love listening to him talk. He is smart, and I agree, I think he understands most of what is said. At night time, whenever he is ready to be covered up, he starts saying "Time to go to bed. I'll see you in the mornin'."

  • how much do african grey parrots cost

  • hahaha x.x

  • I have a parrot like this one !!

I have owned it from a year and a few months, but it never talks !!

I am always saying it name maybe it can says it but it isn't.

it is always doing like small birds !!

Can anybody tell me how to teach it !!

    Thanks a lot !!

  • @alainkhoury1980 You might check out my TigerBird DVD on ebay... Read Tiger's story and check out our CD's too. Tiger did not talk at 2 years old, due to neglect from his previous owner. Look at him now! Your bird should be starting to talk by 18 months. Most start at 6 months with vocalizations. Maybe another bird, like the Tigerbird DVD will give him the start he needs. It's not all talk either, I left enough chirps and songs in the DVD so you know he's a bird!

  • @alainkhoury1980

Watched einstein the parrot and his trainer said that she says the same word again and again and IF he likes it he'll copy, then she gives him a nut to reinforce it.

  • @alainkhoury1980 I have a grey myself she is 25 years old..You have to keep working with yours they mostly pick up what they find to be amusing to them..Each have their own thing..My "Messiah" does everything from Popeye to Beavis...

  • @alainkhoury1980 Try to connect a word or sound with any object or item ;)

Like everytime you feed him an orange, tell him 'orange' ;)

  • can somebody tell me please why African Grey don't like water. my tobby starts screaming when ever i try to give him bath. even he drinks after a day or once a day.

  • @Khushi963 i use a gentle shower with lukewarm water from a shower massage (no pulsing) for tiger. i put him in the tub on one of his short perches and slowly get him used to it, starting with just his feet and then working my way up. oh, he complains a little bit, but he stays put. i'll pick him up, set his perch on the counter and blow him dry with warm, not hot air. keep the blower at a distance! i think that he actually starts liking it. introduce things to them slowly. that's the trick...

  • @1TigerBird

thanks a lot i will try this hope so he will learn to bath soon :)

  • i'm 100% sure they know exactly what they are saying, they just use us to learn what to say so we'll do it for them rofl! Mine picks up things very quickly. When I get his water dish in the morning, he'll make a slurp sound and say getting some water? thats better!

  • this guy is very very smart. this is a very cute video thankyou for posting!

I'm an owner of a grey-or is it the other way around? lol. Mine tells me its time to go to work! gotta go! bye! calls my son in the morning to get up and does it sounding like me lol. he'll put words and phrases together that make sense. He made up this word all by himself " Banapples" guess he was telling me he wanted bananas AND apples,he'll say stuff like, comin over? i wanna go for a walk -very smartbirds

  • @Tsubakiee yeah, i think they own us... we may never fully understand how smart these birds are. i'm fully convinced that Tiger understands everything I say to him. we just TALK about leaving and he starts saying "Bye Bye!" unreal... their ability to create completely logical sentences is staggering. they speak in the correct context about, oh, 100% of the time. it's like i've always said, "he's a smart bird, and he'll be the first one to tell you so!" thx for the comments!

  • Wow, he is amazing.

  • 0:57 bomb peeping peep peep peep peep BUM!! XD

  • gosh i cant believe this..just like einstein the african grey! i hope my umbrella cockatoo can speak like tigerbird

  • Mmm... Pomegranate.

  • Neat! My grey made little clucking noises at the screen and seemed very interested.

  • interesting... we did the clucking noise for Tiger and he picked it up right away... i get lots of comments like this. they are so aware of things around them...

  • LOOOOOL!!!! I love how he just randomly started scratching.

    Parrots are so cool. :D

  • He's cute!

  • i have an african grey parrrot its a girl

  • Bahahaha... this made my day! I wish my bird could talk like this.. but hes a dumb cockatiel

  • Accidental... Cockateils Are NOT DUMB. They need training. My cockateils are smart, kind, and ADORABLE

  • @TheFlock14 Agreed, We have an 18yr old male, who acts like a baby. Cockatiels are cool little birds, but NOISY!

  • awesome african grey!!! love him.

  • thanks for checking us out!

  • Woooooow

  • Oddly enough, Woooow is his newest word!

  • You're all set? (nods his head in agreement) You're all set! // (Holds 'hand/toe' up and says) You don't bite, don't bite!

  • Obviously one of his favorite things to say!

  • Your Tigerbird is way cool! I like that the greys have a sense of humor. Funnier than a child I think. YO-YO is cool too, and Chester...look up.....GOOD BIRDS BITE C U later Tigerbird!

  • he sounds like my math teacher

  • he sounds like Elvis reborn in a parrot. :3

  • luv the video-i have a 3 year old a 7 yr old 2 in their 30's 1 that is about 15. My baby thats 3 callsmy dogs in the house by name and than counts them outloud. I agree 100% these are lifetime champions not pets. and are very expensive to care for.

  • Tiger has not been around my old Pyrs in about 6 years, but he still mentions them now and then...

  • fantastic-i have a 3yr old cag and you should hear him he call the dogs in by name and than counts to see if they're all in . he talks in female and male voices lol!

  • That's so cool! Tiger used to talk in the voices of the parrots with which he lived. He would say the things they said in their voices!

  • how much does an african grey parrot cost?

  • From a reputable breeder...about $1,300

  • 800-1000 us dollars

  • Several hours per day, every single day, for the rest of your life. Vet bills are high for certified avian vets. Also, they are extremely noisy, especially when you want to listen to tv. They're extremely messy and destructive. I love mine - would not trade her for the world, but it's not like having a dog. The ones that are talkative and interact with you, do so only because the owner has spent time with the bird. You can't just lock it in a cage and expect it to entertain you.

  • well said... it's like having a small child that never grows up.

  • from 0:55 to 1:01 its the funniest.

  • aww its so cute i have an african grey but he only talks wen no1s looking hehe

  • Oh that's great! They are worth it! I cannot imagine my life without Isabella now.

  • How old is Tiger Bird? My TAG will be 3 in June. I got her at 4 months old so thankfully I didn't have to start with a bird who was already taught behavior from someone else.

  • Tiger was 10 yrs this month. It's been a lot of work, but he is obviously worth it!

  • im thinking off buying a african gray this year but i have a few questions about them if anyone know alot about them or has one please message me... thanks..

  • imagine having a small child for the rest of your life. it's about the same thing with a grey.

  • Please do your research before you buy an African Gray parrot. Some people think "it's cool" to own a talking bird. you should not get a bird just for that reason. There are two types of Greys & you should learn about them before buying one, they require alot of time & attention!

  • so very true. i've been working with TigerBird for more than 6 years to try to reverse the psychological effects of his previous owner. we still have a long way to go.

  • that's a big problem with greys, it's easier to get a young one than to raise or reraise one who's had an owner... some ppl have no idea what they're doing and can be very negative to their bird

  • very, very true. Tiger has come a long way over the years, but it's been slow, steady progress...

  • TigerBird talks like a real professor! :)

  • You don't bite. You don't bite.

LMAO. That's what I tell my bird.

  • XD that's actually a REALLY good idea! if nothing else, it makes one's bird feel like they have a friend!

  • Actually, people are buying it for just that reason. One girl had an out-of-control Umbrella Cockatoo she was caring for. She bought everything I had... CD's and DVD's. It provided a great distraction / companion and helped calm the bird. She realized that the bird noticed the short youtube vids, she needed something that would occupy the birds time for hours, and Tiger was just the trick she was looking for!

  • ^o^ oh, that's wonderful!

  • i love birds cool bird, i have a cockiteil

  • OMFG

you have a very intelligent bird

  • check out the "Bottle" video if you have not done so already.

  • They are like little feathery people with beaks!

  • Exactly!

  • He is really cool. I really like his voice. I have three and they are a blast

  • Three would be nice. I used to have 14 of them in the house. Now THAT'S a challenge!

  • He is so cute! I love parrots even though I none, but I really want one! His words are so clear! That is so cute!

  • Do your homework first. Caring for a parrot is like having a 5 year old child for... oh... about 60 to 80 years. that's their lifespan with good care and feeding...

  • Wow ~ very cool grey!

"Don't bite" .... I think that's the first phrase my greys learned. LOL

  • werre else would u buy the bird traning because i have two birds

  • I don't know of anywhere else where you can get this kind of parrot training...

  • Well I really enjoyed listening to him. I dont have an African grey but I love them, always have. I actually have 8 talking starlings in the family. Not many people know they are amazing talkers. Do the Greys mimic male and female voices? I guess too, accents for different states would come out in its talking too. I know my talking birds have an 'aussie' accent LOL. Anyway, a wing wave from my birdies to your - love and light - Susan in Tasmania Australia

  • thanks! yes, greys will mimic both voices, but stay mainly with their favorite. in tiger's case, he sounds like me. he has picked up a little "Okie Slang" from my girlfriend though!

  • Nice healthy looking bird. My Grey Noah heard him, right away, said 'Oh... That's awesome!' But Noah doesn't need any lessons in how to talk. What he needs is lessons on how to shut up. XD

  • smart bird talks great.beautiful bird: )

  • cute!
