  • That cnc router is freaking sweet! Thanks for sharing. I gotta build one sometime.

  • what kind of drives will you be using

  • i did the same thing when i got my machine mechanically ready.

  • Looks great!

    You have excellent woodworking skills.

Your machine will workout fine i would say.

  • Are you going to put stepper motors on it eventually?

  • I like very much yor machine because it is low inertia (i think), but i think you would change the leadscrews by 20 mm diameter, 4 mm pitch, or 16 mm diameter, but a pitch superior to 4 mm.

If the leadscrew work well then hink about ballscrew in the same way.

  • with your carpentry skills why do you even need a cnc LOOKs great!

  • @dacraina

    Thanks.....that was very nice said!

  • pine looks good but will give you problems later. plywood or mdf should be chosen over any hard or soft woods to minimize warp and wane due to the grain pattern of the wood. climate changes will inevitably cause stress in your setup as each piece shrinks, bends, or twists "naturally" due to dry or humid conditions. not trying to be a critic, just want to save people from future problems.

  • :) babosan amca

  • Hahahaha!!!

    is that Gerber "Saver" 804!!

    prototype

  • Ha, ha....good sence of humor on you!

  • Wow, a CNC built out of wood. Now how accurate is that going to be??

  • looks good up to now when are you going to conect it to a computer?

also how much has it cost to make up to now.

  • Automated hand controlled computerized fully human controlled cnc ????

  • lol your coment just cracked me up lol... you do have a point.... lol...

  • Te flisito por tu maquina esta estupenda, eso es lo que llamo tener ingenio, hurra por ti.FELISIDADES

  • Nice work. What is X-Y lowest possible resolution ?

  • Thanks for your comments! I'm using stepmotors from Xylotex and Mach3/LazyCam to manage the router. The bearings is simple roller skate bearings. So far I have not gone further than the videos shows. To be honest...I got a bit fed-up after the building process. I'll wait to the autumn and will study the Mach3 further. The system seems to work fine, though it isn a bit too slow. I may do something to that. And again....thanks for comments!

  • Looks great, how is working out?

  • What type of motors?

  • Wonderful job!!

  • Thanks...

  • Coooooooooool man!!!!

  • How does the gantry rest on the frame, what bearings are used?

  • Beautifully engineered
