It won't let you use AVI formats. Because every time I try to add Media or Music files it won't come up. And I downloaded Format Factory to try and see what Format would work. I wacthed a different tutorial and he said AVI files will still work. But when I changed all my video and music clips to AVI it still didn't work. So I don't know what to do.

Windows Movie Maker is bare bones.

It's way too weak, and it's not in any way a professional editor.

I suppose it's ok if your just messing about, or editing home movies together, but that's about the depth of it's reach.

Wax can only word with .avi files. You can use a free tool like mediacoder to convert videos to .avi (use Xvid for video codec and LAME MP3 for the audio codec)

I can't use Wax videos on anything! They come in .wxp and nothing supports .wxp. wtf?! I need to convert them to .avi but nothing will convert them. I have literally tried every conversion program on the internet.

They say you can use this as a plugin and Sony Vegas as a standalone but i like to use wax as the stand alone and i use Sony Vegas for a plugin because wax uses less memory and is less likely to crash. I also exports allot quicker. I love wax!!!
