  • If you still think within the mainstream media BS paradigm(?) then you merely feed the beast.

Maybe I can only kick at the shins but I'm more than willing to start the ball rolling for others to jump on (hmm - rolling ball analogy fail lol) so we can get to the jugular. Aye @RobDeManc Two sides playing smoke and feckin mirrors. Life does mean we have to work with knobheads - but eventually we find a way. I actually do like the idea of a 'NO/DON'T VOTE' party(anti-party).

    Peace -)

  • The prosperous 80s. I miss them.

  • @anebturia It was the "prosperous" 80's that got us into the mess we are in now. Thatcher and Reagon allowed the sale of debt, and freed the financial industry to make its greedy, short sighted, and reckless investments.

  • @RobDeManc Blair & Bush got us into the mess were in now.

  • @DanielHewsonPianist They played their part by continueing the policies of previous governments but its safe to say it started in the 80's under Thatcher and Reagan

  • @RobDeManc I agree with what you are saying but thatcher did not intend on that happening. She wanted to liberate the individual but unfortunately the individual is greedy, short sighted and reckless. Regulation is simply another form of policing.

  • @dimers1989 She set the ball rolling. Only a fool would not have predicted the outcome so she knew exactly what would happen.

  • @RobDeManc

Thats not safe to say you fucking retard, elaborate.

Labour is far more responsible for our home economics problems

    1) they were the ones who were all for the de-regulation fo the financial sector, which has caused a whole bunch of legal robbery schemes

2)4+millions immigrants we seriously didn;t eed let into the country

3)Made us bent over to eurozones policies and benefits, not our own

4)sold of 60% of our gold reserves at a record low price

  • @RobDeManc

5)Borrowed a ridicolous amount of money we simply didn't have, so for the next twenty years we will be paying it back slowly

6)Increased taxes to reduce spending in our economy and discourage business from operating here

7)Took us to extremely expenive and pointless parts of the world to wage war and make us even more hated

8)Kept subsidising industries which would aturally have gone bust years ago, again draining our money poitlessly

  • @403766 You think its all about parties? Labour/Tory are just two sides of the same coin. Thatcher started the policies, Labour continued them. The tories would have done little different than new labour. You knobhead.

  • Did Ronniw knob her one

  • Snow , as a dumb-down Britain media man, got it wrong of course. Britain is not just another country when the PM goes, because gov to gov relations carry on and it's this closeness between them that the words 'special relationship' refer to. Especially applies to military and intelligence affairs.

  • Jon Snow is SO young.

  • Great days....when I was proud to be a Brit.... the 80s rocked.

  • Elizabeth Dole for President?

  • My God - Jon Snow with hair that isn't grey!

  • She was different class compared to the feeble calibre of politicians we've had running the country into the ground for the last 20 years.

  • @DanielHewsonPianist Totally agree!!

  • @DanielHewsonPianist She done her part in running the country into the ground! Her policy of free trade led to the industries we built up over hundreds of years going overseas, ..because it was cheaper to produce there! Trade tariffs (along with trades union reform) would have protected out industries. Trades and skills handed down from generation to generation have been lost forever because she cared more about profiteering than her own country.

  • @aeronuk1 If you want that sort of failed socialist protectionism vote BNP.

  • @DanielHewsonPianist The present system is a failure, Britain is an industrial desert because of free trade.

  • @aeronuk1 Britain is the 7th largest economy in the world, and in the top 10 for exports and manufacturing, Blair and Brown, not Thatcher ruined the economy, Infact last time this country ran a trade surplus was under Thatcher.

  • @aeronuk1

Are you joking? Those industries were LOSING MILLIONS EVERY DAY which we didn't have to spare as labour had already ran up a huge debt. Also we had the huge trade deficit so we could not exactly get more money through tariffs. All tariffs do is reduce trade due to retaliation traiffs which always happens. Your whole arguement is based on saying that the government should keep subsidising indutries which ar elosing money and keep getting into more and more debt. Seriously I

  • @aeronuk1

mean this respectfully but you need to study economics before you vote next...

Trade unions were a huge part of driving away foreign firms they scared them of they were demanding whatever they wanted, striking over every little thing and actually pushing inflation up, which was already at its highest point for decades in 1978/9.

And if you think that companies moving overseas has anything to do with thatcher you need a common knowledge test. Btw if we had tariffs any

  • @aeronuk1

larger, or large enough to stop undustiral sector jobs to come back her everyones quality of life would greatly decreae, meaning no-one would have enough money to afford a T.V, telephones, etc. And the retaliation would be equal, so britain would not be able to sell its goods abroad anyway, fucking everything up.

Seriously everything you said, any economist will tell you that those policies of complete socialism would take this country down within 5-10 years...
