what are you talking about? Ovechkin's playoff numbers are better than Crosbys. Just look at how much more effective he was against Montreal this past season vs Crosby. @Mrakstunna without the proper punctuation, i really can't determine what the hell you just said. but from what i could understand, Ovechkin would have more goals than Crosby if he had played nine more games. yes, this would probably be true if you look at stats. Ovechkin would probably score an astounding 5 or 6 more goals out of 46 shots. lets limit his shots to 250 a season. he would be nothing. this "super-star" is average at best.

@hockeymick3 dont forget crosby and stamkos only beat ovechkin by like 2 goals. and ovechkin was injured this season and he was out for a whilee. so he still kicked ass and almost beat crosby in goals even though he was injured. if ovechkin wasnt hurt he would have easily won the season.

what are you talking about? Ovechkin's playoff numbers are better than Crosbys. Just look at how much more effective he was against Montreal this past season vs Crosby. The biggest difference is that the guys are on different TEAMS. You can't fault an individual's efforts if he's not being helped out by his teammates. Guys like Semin and Green totally disappeared.

@royfan3035 I think it is worse then the Selanne one. 2 reasons. Selanne was a rookie when he scored that goal, plus that year he scored 76 goals, as a rookie. 2nd Ovechkin has scored 50 goals before, plus that game he was playing against a rookie goaltender(think how he must have felt Ovechkin showing off like that) and they were up by quite a few goals. I think it was pretty disrespectful, under those conditions.

Just remember, Ovie is not going to keep going at this pace if he playes to age 40. You're forgetting to add the human factor in there....Ovie is going to slow down, just like Wayne did. One more thing. Even if goals are up 2 goals per game in todays games, that is 2 divided by 40 (number of players playing in a game) which is .05 per player per game. So even if you add that .05 to Ovechkins .69 that is .74 goals per game. Still significantly lower than Gretzky's .93 goals per game
