No security measure will EVER be effective until our nation closely examines its meddling in foreign affairs and listens to the CIA when it says that our occupation of the middle east is why tey attack us.

If all the standard security measures had been practiced this guy never would have gotten on to the plane. He had no passport. He bought a 1 way ticket with cash the day of the flight, etc. All the alarms should have gone off, they don't need full body scanning. They need intelligent people at the security check points. If they can't figure out basic rules and follow them, they sure won't be able to work a complex piece of technology.
