There is probably a lot of mileage on this scooter. Small and/or big problems are to be expected. I don't know much about the Ruckus, but the transmission is probably similar.

No. Aerox have a two stroke engine. Transmission is similar, though. Maybe you can derestrict an Aerox the same way, I don't know.

Just wanted to say thank you for the video.  I think after your results that our's will remain stock but it is nice to see how simple the C3 really is. It is my girlfriend's first vehicle that she bought on my recommendation over a cheaper Chinese model she was considering. Thus far it has been great to her. I almost hate to admit liking it as a long time motorcycle rider. :-)

I have viewed all of your videos on this subject now and I am even more inpressed with you English language skills as well as I am impressed with your step by step presentation of this method. You should consider teaching anything you learn because you have a good understanding of what is important. I do not have one of these but am considering the purchase. I am more likely now to buy a C3 now than before.

By the way, I think your accent is not a minus because it is part of your natural exposure to the formation of words in your native language.

I just got my C-3 back from the dealer, It was recalled due to a crank shaft that was not hardened at the factory. It has lost about 5 MPH off the top speed. I only have 400miles on it and it has been recalled twice!! I might try derestricting it.

You will get back this 5mph after one or two hundred miles without derestricting. The new part(s) they replaced in the engine have to wear a little before optimal performance is reached.

Read all the texts I wrote besides the first and second video. Somewhere in there are links to pictures of a homemade variator tool. It works much better than the strap wrench.

The tool you call a boa constrictor, we a strap wrench.

This mod improves gear ratio by slightly increasing maximum diameter of front pulley.

You can also put a short length of pipe over the end of your ratchet's handle to help loosen & tighten the bolt.

We can all make our own special tool by measuring between the bolts & the area of the housing and using 1/8 to 1/4" steel or aluminum plate with pins or bolts to lock the front pulley.
