  • PLEASE PLEASE let me know when Vox come to Los Angeles....cause we are waiting here!

  • the interviewer doesnt know what hes talking about, saying that the killers sound like Ultravox!!!! WTF? they are nothing like Ultravox!! besides that asking some boring banal questions,,,

  • @divernater I hear the Ultravox influence in the Killers.

  • omg,warren looks like a grandpa right now. :-/

he was pretty cool back in the 80s

  • @Padulas Umm ... he probably IS a grandpa now!

Some of us have aged over the years, you know? :)

  • Fabulous to get details on how they composed this new album. They seemed to have used Protools as a DAW. Can't wait to see how many tracks they offer us and discover the music, as I did last time back in ... 1986!

  • Chomping at the bit waiting for the new album... and tour. They were awesome live during the Return to Eden tour. Warren Cann on drums-fantastic to listen to and to watch. Whole band incredible live...they have lost nothing. How often do you see bands coming back and being pale imitations of their former selves? Not Ultravox: the've stepped out of that tardis in better shape than ever - I'm a bigger fan than ever.

  • What a great Christmas Gift - knowing that Ultravox will release a new album !! Thanks for the interview. Have a great Christmas, all of you out there. :-)

  • Ultravox have always been a big influence on me and the soundtrack to my life back in the 80s when I first saw them in Dublin Ireland in 1982 so it was a joy to see them again on the Return To Eden tour in Liverpool 2010 and hear all the amzing stuff again from the Monument ,Lament , Rage In Eden and Quartet albums . I'm Looking foreward to the new cd and tour again in 2012 .Cheers to all Ultravox fans .

  • I had no idea Ultravox is releasing new material until I saw this interview! It's time to hear great music such as this again.....since today's artists have no soul. Time to wipe Justin Beiber off the map!!!!

  • Brilliant !!! -great interview and NEW Album and tour ........Thanks Guys looking forward to the new year already :)

  • Thanks a million for a simple yet fantastic interview with these huge masters and fathers of electronic music as we know it. I am so excited to see them back together. Missed them and wish it's for good! However good they do apart!. I definetely look forward to get the cd and follow the tour. Great interviewer, really gives you the feeling of being close to them. ( Down to earth ) Thanks again, Orozco

  • Can't wait for the album to come out!

  • Great to see Midge and Warren in greap shape ! Now we wait for the cd. A vynil release would be fine too.

  • I love the dig Warren said " snow balls do melt in hell " LOL LOL LOL

  • amazing interview now get the cd out!!!

  • This band was so important, still is as an influence. Their records are there for anyone to realise and enjoy. I really can't wait to listen new album...

Ultravox son quizás el mejor grupo de los ochenta, su éxito no es comparable a otros grupos como the cure o depeche mode, pero sí su música: algo único, emocionante, de una calidad e inspiración que acontece sólo de vez en cuando.

  • i cant wait for this, Welcome back guys, i have missed you all.

  • The Killers have never, to my knowledge, cited Ultravox as an influence, but I have always seen the similarities. I was obsessed with Ultravox in the 80s, I'm obsessed with The Killers now. My tastes don't change that much :)

Ultravox were amazing in 2009 on the Return to Eden tour and so emotional for me as I never got to see them with the full 80s line up back in the day. Can. Not. Wait for the new album and a tour. Just please, please don't do it at the same time as The Killers :)

  • Ultravox's music has made my life better

  • Anyone who doesn't know this band, and the utterly superb output in the lates 70s to mid 80s, really are missing out. Imagine having never heard All Stood Still?!!

  • I hereby commit to travel up to 500 miles to see Ultravox if they ever come to the States. (I would have to since I'm in Norf**k, Virginia)

  • will there be a US tour?

  • Can't wait for the album and tour which surely will follow. Saw them in Belfast in 2009 and was one of the best concerts ever. Woo hoo!

  • Great interview - love hearing from Warren as well. Many thanks.

  • This is fantastic! I like how Midge described "if Ultravox wanted to scratch their nose...." I cant wait for the new album!

  • Warren Cann's voice is incredible.

  • LOL "I thought it was John Foxx" 2:33

  • Just need to change Cann's name now. Two nn's.

  • Hi from the chap who managed the Ultravox email list before Extreme Voice got started. Thanks for this wonderful interview. It's really nice to see you together, even if it's only the two of you, and it's really wonderful that you're getting ready to release a new album. I know that many here hope Ultravox comes to the U.S. since almost all of us would have liked to have seen you during Return to Eden. I hope you have enjoyed your experience creating a new album. We

    re waiting with bated breath.

  • @kjmagnusson1967

It would be even greater if they have enough shows that aren't only on the coasts. I'm hoping they come to the rockies, ss Midge started one of his tours in Denver. Sadly I found out about it 2 days afterward.

  • @Molikor I grew up in Salt Lake City. I'm sure Ultravox would draw a great crowd there, as well as sell a ton of albums. But I live in San Francisco now and I'm just as sure Ultravox would draw a great crowd here. I'd love to see those guys at the Orpheum. Best wishes on a Denver appearance.
