Regardless, contradicting myself, it was fun to finally watch each episode. ABCs "V" isn't that bad. Sure, it's not the original, and we don't get that sense of a militant look/fascism feel to it, it does hold its own. Give it up to Kenneth Johnson for creating "V The Original Miniseries"!

I saw "V The Final Battle" in 1984 when I was 9 years old and I was totally mesmerized with that made for TV movie. I finally saw the TV series when I bought the series on DVD by the end of 2009, and I have to say I was kinda disappointed as I watched each episode. I don't want to go into details, but the storyline would go off track, like contradicting the previous episode in more ways than one, maybe two. And not to say too much, but man, a cliffhanger on the last episode.

'V' is the best TV series that I've ever seen when I was a kid, I think it's a great story and very well played .. the new version seems to be just a commercial version and it doesn't transmit anything to me .. the way the good series in the '80 were developed was great to me, why now they just limit everything to introduce special effects ? ... for me this adds nothing if there isn't a real story and good actors

What's amazing to me is how TV today rehashes TV I watched and then calls it "original" (!). I've even read that Liam Nieeson (sp?) is up for the part of Hannibal for an A-Team movie...
