@rockytopfarm Yes, I remember him running on a platform of bringing the troops home. That was definitely a big theme in the campaign. I just heard that Afghanistan would take center stage in the war. I expected a troop increase for a little while. My biggest concern is Guantanamo Bay. That was supposed to be closed almost immediately. Now it looks like it will stay open forever.
The affirmative-action-in-chief found out it's not so easy in the driver's seat. He takes 7 months to make a decision on troop deployment then after committing more troops he announces a 2011 pullout....what a joke. The constitution doesn't mention parties, just limits on the power of the federal government regarding the individual states. @rockytopfarm Yes, I remember him running on a platform of bringing the troops home. That was definitely a big theme in the campaign. I just heard that Afghanistan would take center stage in the war. I expected a troop increase for a little while. My biggest concern is Guantanamo Bay. That was supposed to be closed almost immediately. Now it looks like it will stay open forever.

The constitution doesn't mention parties, just limits on the power of the federal government regarding the individual states. Since we only have two viable parties, I say go with the party that is closest to the intent of the founders. Today that party is the Republican party. Libertarians are not viable. I suggest they join the Republican party like Ron and Rand Paul and change it from within. Democrats are out and out statists. With Republicans there is a chance.

Kucinich has done a lot to expose fradulent waste (US contractors paying off the Taliban, basically with our tax dollars, in Afghan to get supplies to our troops who fight the paid of Taliban) for one.

Ron Paul should have been the Repub Party nomination but he was kept out by the RNC, Fox News and other means. He raised more money ( from civs & military), was doing better in the polls than most and the RNC still wouldnt let him in the door. He wouldve beat Obama in a landslide if he had been nominated but the RNCDNC conglomerate wouldnt allow it.
