I'm glad the council didn't waste any money on fireworks given the thousands of job losses and pay cuts to low paid workers, I think it would have been more disgraceful if they had wasted money on fireworks.
what a shame birmingham city council it would have been better not to even done this slap in the face job to more insult this costed 20000 pounds i could have showed a better display with half that amount thanks for putting our city in shame.
I also attended this non event for the first time with my family.......and last time! What a complete and utter disgraceful fireworks display from our so called "second city", reported to have cost £20,000, I could of put a better display on with a £5 box of fireworks from the local newsagents. Hang your heads in shame Birmingham City Council!
