Does it matter? Currently for 2011 Maple 500oz sealed box, Tulving give you $100 more and or for older sealed 2008 box at APMEX sell about $5000 more than an unsealed box or a resealed box. But, local dealer don't seem to care.

@EricRyanConstantine Eagles, which legally must be made of 100% american silver, are being bought at an increasing numbers. The possibility of the US Mint not being able to meet demand, in the future years, gives the numismatic value of the Eagles a chance to get bigger.

As an example, Eagles today are available, and the coins are $3 over spot price.

If the Eagles were to be less produced, with incresing demand, the coins may be less available and $5 or $10 over spot.

Moster boxes are $ 12000+ at the moment but were under $10000 not long back. Eagles are way over $ 25 per coin at the moment and many experts believe this is still very cheap silver, I'm not an expert but think that silver still has a long way to go.

Monster boxes that you won't be slabbing must be stored correctly. I have many monster boxes from different countries(Panda Monster Boxes 600 coins). I too use a safe but make sure humidity is controlled. Coins, I agree are a much better way to go then bars. Right now Ag is cheap relative to Ag but just how much Ag can you buy. It's heavy and takes up a lot of space. If you ever get the chance get a real 1907 high relief wire rim. You can get them for a good price today at a high MS grade.

I think it depends on which side of the Atlantic Ocean you by the Coins. The Austrian Philharmonics are usually cheaper here in Germany because shipping etc. isnt such an additional cost factor like importing American Eagles from oversees. The Maple Leafs are also a little bit more expensive here in Europe. But i prefer a nice mixture of everything. For events like birthdays or now Christmas i also buy relatively expensive coins like Kiwi or older Lunar Series as presents!
