I prefer to bet on things such as turnovers, penalties and yards gained via rushing and/or passing. Tomorrow, I've weighed heavily on the 'boys winning the turnover and penalty game because of last weeks fiasco. Cross the fingers. But the only problem with starting the game trying to run is that you sometimes give an opportunity for the other team to hang around. You may dominate in yardage but they can lead on the score board.

We need to be able to mix it up and have scoring drives

A good gashing running game will you are ahead is more demoralizing to the opposing defense.

Their D gets more confident in their blitzing

So many things outside of the score...that's why it's so important...even if it is not effective.

Redskins have the 5th rank defense in the league. #1 in pass D but 24th in Rush D. The running game is very important to win games. I was quite disappointed last week because they did not run the ball much like the other previous games. Garrett need to exploit the redskins weakness in order to get the Cowboys offense rolling on game day.

For running game i want to see Felix in Tashards wildcat position and i want Tashard to run it with barber. We dont use to much wild card and felix dont really need to many snaps to get big yards. Pittsburgh is a running team and suck when they try to pass...it may not work all the time, but Pittsburgh does NOT abandon the run...they still were top 10 in attempts. Willie Parker gave them a HUGE game in the Divisional round. We all know AZ was last in rushing but when they backed into the SuperBowl, they had the leading rusher in every playoff game except Pitts...which they lost.

You HAVE to run...or run a west coast style offense.

Yes, but neither team had a strong running game in the regular season. Surely, they turned it on in th post-season though. Even this year, some of the best teams - Pitt, Indy, NE, NO, SD - lack a really good running game.

It's really not the issue of a "strong" running game...It's just the fact that you HAVE to do it. Both teams committed to it in the playoffs and won.

Like you, I am frustrated at how Garrett is utilizing our running backs. He rarely calls two running plays in a row; however, this team has won games without utilizing the run. Garrett just likes to use the pass to set up the run - which doesn't always work.
