Further, I would request TheAgb01 to go to "Search" and ask for "Sundar te dhyan" - Abhang by Sant Tukaram" and he will have the pleasure to listen to the original song by Lata. I may add I have nothing against Shri O.S.Arun who has sung this song in true Carnatic form. He is no doubt an excellent singer.

TheAgb01 , it appears, has not done his homework properly. Firstly, there is difference between lyrics and compositions of a song. The lyrics have been penned by the great Marathi Saint Poet Sant Tukaram and not repeat not by Jnaneshwara and I assert again that this famous song has been composed by the great veteran Marathi Composer Shrinivas Khale and sung by none other than Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. Sorry you have got it all wrong.

This excellent song is composed by the great Marathi music composer Shri Shrinivas Khale. I am sorry to say Mr.Arun is singing this song merrily without even acknowledging Shri Khale's contribution.

This song was not composed by Shrinivas Kale; but by Saint poet Jnaneshwara in 12th Century.

The rendition of Abhangas in Carnatic music is much older phenomenon and i think Mr. Arun might have learnt this song from his gurus.

So there is no question of snatching someone else's credit for 12th century.

BTW once again excellent performance, Arun Sir!
