I have wanted a horse for as long as I can remember. It was hard to see all my friends are the barn I used to ride at get really nice hunter jumpers, and I couldn't even a rescue. I was so lucky to lease, but of course, I still wanted to own a horse. I am not a very out going person, so I don't a lot of friends, but horses to me equal about a 100 people friends. Now I am finally getting a horse, haven't one yet, and can't buy a super nice one, but I don't care. I am happy with any horse!

Dont nag your parents too much about it just leave little reminders like a horse advert on the computer or something. @horsegirl555100 Wow I bust my butt every summer at my Aunt's horse doing all the things she made up for me to do trying to convince me I didn't want a horse. i listened to her for hours telling me heels down or lighter reins, just so i could be around the horses. I work in 110 dregree weather getting up before anyone to have time with the horses. I listen to people talk about me at school saying im "to horse obsessed."

@AgilityLover14 i've learned how to take care of a horse and its pretty easy for me now!! we have strong horses and they dont get sick or anything often. i groom the horse i ride and it takes me 30 mins but i of course the horse looks great!! but i wish i get one one day..dont you?

i went to a horse show a few weeks ago for FFA and they provided the horses, me and my BFF hannah where the only ones there that actually smiled, and got to know the horse we where on before we went to the areana and in the areana, and the only ones who talked to the horses. it was very sad.

Never got my horse. In fact i had to quit riding in lessons cuz my mom couldnt afford it anymore. Now that im moved out and older i plan to save and pick up riding again and even buy my own horses later.
I wanted a horse ,but now i met a 7 year old paint hors,e at my stable, who i am training to jump, cause she got lime disease at 4 in her jump training, who i adore. She is like mine, cause i get her every lesson, and on body likes her. she is a kicker and her ground manner arent there, but she is beautiful, and to me, perfect.
I'm in the process of hopefully adopting a horse. I'm trying not to get to excited in case it doesn't work out. But, my parents can't buy a horse. I have to pay for everything, inculding the horse and I'm 16.
i love all of these vids, but i realised one thing, there is a fact behind so many children wanting a horse, like iNeedaHorse54 says, there are people that dont even know how to handle them, or care for them, or be able to afford them, this kind of videos could be a cause of horse abuse in the end, but im hoping for all those girls and boys that have a horse and do know how to treat it (like me ;p) to get one in the end, good luck to all the begging people out there ^^
I only just got my horse. All of these things are true but its not going to convince parents. Parents are worried about time, money and if their child is just going through a phase. The way to get your parents to say yes is to save up for at least the actual horse yourself. Even if your underage, do jobs around the house.
Omg, it's really annoying to see people complaining like "oh my life is so sad I can't have a horse my parents don't understand they're so nasty" Some people here can't even ride.

well they know how much i want one ( as my room is filled with horse posters and i talk about them nonstop) so hopefully next year or year after but im very grateful that i have pony lessons and i have an Aunty with horses and my Mums friend has a horse too thnk Mum and Dad for letting me ride

never give up, i was in this exact spot one year ago, with no horse and i never thought in a million years i would get one. All my parents said was no way and its too expensive. But you know what?, if theres a will theres a way!!!! i made it happen and now have a palomino quarter horse and couldnt be happier. NEVER GIVE UP.
Everytime I watch horse surprise videos i'm on the edge of tears. I will probably NEVER get a horse. I can't convince my parents because we live in a small town house in the middle of a big city and we can barely afford groceries.
If I had a horse i would deffinetly be riding right now... trotting, cantering, jumping..... and running in a field with the lead rope in my hand.. that would be great :) the only horses i can have right now are breyers but i dont mind not having a real horse now because i will get one someday... i believe i will!!

@eweimlove it will happen. i got 3 when i reached age of 47. i feel happy like a kid everyday!! i had 1 when i was young, but i lost him because i made bad choices. have faith. do your best in life and God will reward you.
@eweimlove you can make friends with people who have horses and learn all you can. sometimes people will let you ride in exchange for helping out with chores. maybe even get a job at a stable after school or on weekends or during summer vacation.

Some kids are spoiled like the stables I went to for a camp: the little girl wanted a barn and all the horses, so her parents got it for her and yet she doesn't do anything with them. She sits inside and plays with her dolls. :( I would like to take one of the horses from her.

@iNeedaHorse54 at least u can lease one,some people only can ride once a month,at least u can have time to bond and get used to each other,when i had my pony,we bonded so quickly and it was so amazing we could jump and ride without any tack or ropes,then my mum found out how much i loved her and cared for her so my mum tried soooo hard to buy her,if u got to lease a horse then mabee your mum will do the same ?
@lollyluvr i went for horse riding 2 times in my life(im 12)!i love horses,my mum dont know anything about horses,we dont have a garden,and the lessons is so expensive so i have to wait to go my travel to england to do 4-5 lessons.
@alexandrakicat even if u cant hav a horse,try asking ur parents for a miniture pony,they can live on an oily rag,and even if u cant ride,u can still bond,u can still teach it to jump,u can still teach it to behave and still show it,my sister owned one an it lived in a small paddock that was practicly dirt,evn if u cant keep it at ur house, ask a frend if they hav room or just graze it somwhere[it will cost less than a horse] then wen ur a little bit older ask ur parents again ;)

I've been trying for 10 years to get a horse. I've lost two amazing possible horses. And the latest excuse is 'What will we do with the horse when you leave for college in three years?" Before it was "We don't have enough room." But 9 acres is more than enough room. Then when i asked about leasing, it was "Horses are too much money." Then when i asked even about lessons, it seemed the only one who was listening was myself.

We all know that parents would LOVE to buy their little boy/girl a horse to make their dreams come true, but horses are 500$+ every month. Horses DO display all of these traits, but it's the cost that holds parents back. :) So, be happy with what you get and just imagine things :)

I think you guys are lucky to not have horses sometimes because my parents cannot afford my horsey anymore and I have to sell all four of them ((3/4 are already gone)) and one died of natural causes. Just think. Every time you wish for a horse there is someone out there missing the horse they had to let go. I don't regret the years of my horses but I'm depressed because my horses aren't coming back. Two of which I watched being born. I'm heartbroken!

im lucky i grew up at my uncles ranch, but its still so damn frustrating when the 7 yr olds that ride at my barn show up with their ponies and has not a single clue in the world how to take care of them.
Well my parents are buying a boat next year for like 30k which will cost like 10k a year to maintain. All i need to prove is that i'm responsible. Seeing as they can afford a boat, a horse costs like 2-5k to get a descent one and like 5-12k a year to maintain. I need to prove responsibility and hopefully i'll get one!!

@horsedreamer2456 i agree i hate people ( mostly spoiled girls) that are like that....this girl i met that has 5 horses is the only one that has 5 of them where i live and she doesnt care at all...i ride and i ride school horses and i can get a horse yet cause i dont have a property to put it but i soon think i will. whatever, she came to me again and was making fun of me that i dont have a horse and i told her that shes ungreatful and stuff and she shuted up!

@horsegirl555100 Wow I bust my butt every summer at my Aunt's horse doing all the things she made up for me to do trying to convince me I didn't want a horse. i listened to her for hours telling me heels down or lighter reins, just so i could be around the horses. I work in 110 dregree weather getting up before anyone to have time with the horses. I listen to people talk about me at school saying im "to horse obsessed."

@AgilityLover14 i've learned how to take care of a horse and its pretty easy for me now!! we have strong horses and they dont get sick or anything often. i groom the horse i ride and it takes me 30 mins but i of course the horse looks great!! but i wish i get one one day..dont you?

i went to a horse show a few weeks ago for FFA and they provided the horses, me and my BFF hannah where the only ones there that actually smiled, and got to know the horse we where on before we went to the areana and in the areana, and the only ones who talked to the horses. it was very sad.

Never got my horse. In fact i had to quit riding in lessons cuz my mom couldnt afford it anymore. Now that im moved out and older i plan to save and pick up riding again and even buy my own horses later.

I wanted a horse ,but now i met a 7 year old paint hors,e at my stable, who i am training to jump, cause she got lime disease at 4 in her jump training, who i adore. i love all of these vids, but i realised one thing, there is a fact behind so many children wanting a horse, like iNeedaHorse54 says, there are people that dont even know how to handle them, or care for them, or be able to afford them, this kind of videos could be a cause of horse abuse in the end, but im hoping for all those girls and boys that have a horse and do know how to treat it (like me ;p) to get one in the end, good luck to all the begging people out there ^^

I only just got my horse. All of these things are true but its not going to convince parents. Parents are worried about time, money and if their child is just going through a phase. The way to get your parents to say yes is to save up for at least the actual horse yourself. Even if your underage, do jobs around the house.

i feel so lucky that i am able to take lessons once a week and my parents would love to buy me a horse but we just don't have the finances. everybithday i expect to see a horse in the driveway but it never happens :( please tell me if there is anyone in the same situation. my family doesn't seem to understand how extremely badly i want a horse

never give up, i was in this exact spot one year ago, with no horse and i never thought in a million years i would get one. All my parents said was no way and its too expensive. But you know what?, if theres a will theres a way!!!! i made it happen and now have a palomino quarter horse and couldnt be happier. NEVER GIVE UP.

i just got a horse a couple of months ago, and i LOVE HER!! think about it this way parents, your child only gets to be a kid once, and this is an area that may cost money now, and may end up being an amazing career!! please, think that the kid can only live once, and this brightens a childs life a thousand-fold!! @eweimlove you can make friends with people who have horses and learn all you can. sometimes people will let you ride in exchange for helping out with chores. maybe even get a job at a stable after school or on weekends or during summer vacation.

Some kids are spoiled like the stables I went to for a camp: the little girl wanted a barn and all the horses, so her parents got it for her and yet she doesn't do anything with them. She sits inside and plays with her dolls. :( I would like to take one of the horses from her.
My mom said we could maybe lease one.... :\

@alexandrakicat even if u cant hav a horse,try asking ur parents for a miniture pony,they can live on an oily rag,and even if u cant ride,u can still bond,u can still teach it to jump,u can still teach it to behave and still show it,my sister owned one an it lived in a small paddock that was practicly dirt,evn if u cant keep it at ur house, ask a frend if they hav room or just graze it somwhere[it will cost less than a horse] then wen ur a little bit older ask ur parents again ;)

Actually I have another horse, and shes the most stubborn horse in the world to ride. Well, she isn't really my horse, shes my cousins horse. Seriously, my mum and I would do anything to get a horse, and I mean anything <3 I've been riding for around half a year (I know, not long), but long enough to realise that riding filled that gap in my life. It's just the money...After mum lost her job, money has been incredibly tight, and after than I had to stop riding. I haven't touched a horse in over 5 months, and it's killing me inside...please pray that she gets a well paid job soon, so my life can be complete again <3

I've been trying for 10 years to get a horse. I've lost two amazing possible horses. And the latest excuse is 'What will we do with the horse when you leave for college in three years?" Before it was "We don't have enough room." But 9 acres is more than enough room. Then when i asked about leasing, it was "Horses are too much money." Then when i asked even about lessons, it seemed the only one who was listening was myself.

We all know that parents would LOVE to buy their little boy/girl a horse to make their dreams come true, but horses are 500$+ every month. Horses DO display all of these traits, but it's the cost that holds parents back. :) So, be happy with what you get and just imagine things :)

I think you guys are lucky to not have horses sometimes because my parents cannot afford my horsey anymore and I have to sell all four of them ((3/4 are already gone)) and one died of natural causes. Just think. Every time you wish for a horse there is someone out there missing the horse they had to let go. I don't regret the years of my horses but I'm depressed because my horses aren't coming back. Two of which I watched being born. I'm heartbroken!

@MusicalNote54 Same. Its just not fair how really little girls get really expensive horses to their selves. Im almost 13, and my parents havent even considered it. I cry a lot too, so dont feel bad...Ive begged and begged, but it wont work. My Dad laughed when I asked...:( But my Mom cried.

im lucky i grew up at my uncles ranch, but its still so damn frustrating when the 7 yr olds that ride at my barn show up with their ponies and has not a single clue in the world how to take care of them.

Well my parents are buying a boat next year for like 30k which will cost like 10k a year to maintain. All i need to prove is that i'm responsible. Seeing as they can afford a boat, a horse costs like 2-5k to get a descent one and like 5-12k a year to maintain. I need to prove responsibility and hopefully i'll get one!!

It's just that I, along with millions of other people don't even have the sort of money your family is thinking spending on a boat. We don't even have half of that, hell, even a quarter of that. I'm just saying that people could take your comment the wrong way because they could think that you're just making a fuss over nothing, if you have the money to get one, then by all means get one.
