Unrelated to Yume Nikki, but this song tells me a strange story. A little girl goes to a festival with her father. Before she goes to play, he gives his daughter a box containing a small creature that sings a chime to her that keeps her in good spirits. Eventually the girl grows up and can no longer care for the creature, so she sets it free. The creature then waits in the park for her, singing himself songs about all the wonderful times they had together until eventually, he dies.

This is my favorite song from the album.

It sounds so peaceful, like everything finally turned out okay for Madotsuki.

"The Day the Diary was Closed" could mean so much more than the ending that we currently have.

Seems to bring a little shine of hope and happiness to a gloomy, strange, disturbing sort of game.

The remix is a lot lighter than the normal version, but when you take the title into account, it becomes sort of bittersweet.

Month late. But it sounds a look more dreamy, abstracted or astral. Really suits the mood of Yume Nikki. While I did enjoy the original, it sounded a bit too out of place with subject of all the other music. Now this remix fits right into the hole which was missing.

Maybe the emptiness in the original was intended. Fits in with the melancholic mood of the game. Either way, this remix is good.

It's not that it was empty, it just felt too cute and warm. Like playing jazz at a rock convention.

Then again, that contrasting music to the rest of the game is to make the player feel safe while saving.

I didn't find the opening music cute at all. Felt more like eerie, outer-space music. The remix sounds lighter and less creepy, which is good for me.
