Loved these interviews, thanks for posting. Mr Frey had me entranced through my young years of reading crash, and because of one of their write ups on him ( one xmas special ) , he inspired me to get an airbrush at the tender age of 14.
hi daz, havnt watched ur vids 4 a while - some great artwork here - i have a new channel - TheDorsetLandscape, which is my new photography channel and has some good pictures of the dorset coast and other places.
It's a shame that you don't see custom covers for gaming mags nowadays.
I know that as I was going to take over from Wil Overton to do anime art when he left for rare at a few mags, but they suddenly got the memo to only use "official" art. >.>
So the only cover I ever did was an issue of EDGE :(
It's pretty inspirational to see a body of artwork. I have the talent but have regretfully allowed it to fall to the wayside. Not for long however. It's time to allow the painbrush to touch the canvas!
You'tr lucky, I love Oliver Frey's artwork. Especially the 'Red Moon' (Which I use to call it the 'Epic Serpent' before I found out it's original name) and the Sega Force ones.
