This exact same video clip is also part of a DVD called "Mirusia - Always and Forever" This DVD is basically a collection of some of her performances during the various concerts with Andre Rieu. No. He is Dutch birth, this concert is in Maastricht so his audience should be, supposedly, predominantly Dutchmen, too. That's why I don't understand his German talking.
Maybe because Masstricht is very close to the German border. People in those parts of the Netherlands are usually bilingual and I think there may have been a lot of German fans too.
Plus i think this concert was also meant to be broadcast on german tv maybe. That would make sense.
But he has doen another concert in Maastricht where he did speak Dutch, so maybe this pergformance is not in Maastricht.

They look even more like them, than they resemble the official language of a country sometimes. But he is speaking German indeed. It's all a bit confusing to me too. Is it really in Maastricht? @asmlam17 This clip was part of a german TV broadcast shown on station "ZDF". But the exact same clip is also on a DVD "Andre Rieu Live in Maastricht 3". It was recorded during the Andre Rieu concert in Maastricht 2009. His concerts are usually recorded to be shown on TV and also for release on DVD. I think this should help you to "Google" for further details.
@asmlam17 I think that most modern DVD players are capable of playing both formats. So it probably depends on how old your DVD player is. You may want to check the specifications of your DVD player. The standard in Australia is the PAL format but I do not have any probelms playing DVDs in the NTSC format.
@ordinaryjoe1000 Thanks for your information. I think I was wrong. The DVD supports both PAL and NTSC but the DVD has zone restriction. My player only supports zone 1. It will be great if I could find the DVD in zone 0.
@SzZsoel1 The explaination is as follows: The concert was recorded in Maastricht in 2009. During his concerts in Maastrecht he speaks his native language. The concert is recorded and played as is for dutch television and also for release on DVD. But during dress rehearsal he speaks his comments in german. They record this and edit the concert recording by replacing his comments in dutch with the ones in german to make the TV program more intersting for the german speaking TV audience.

What I like best about her is her attitude, she looks and acts as if she is honored to be on stage and is having the most fun she can without being conceited, and when she expresses her range it seems just for the joy of it and we get to share....THANK YOU MARUSIA!!!!
@MrDehdehdada , I totally agree with you. She may not be the best singer in the world - although she may be - but I really like her attitude, one of humility and grace, and sincerity, with no ego involved. Praise God for a personality and singer like Mirusia!

@MrPerthlad When it comes to soprano it really depends on what singer the person likes anf feels the most from. Do I feel a lot from this? OH yes but there are others that also do it well and I feel the same thing feelings. So it really depends on the singer.
Mirusia Louwerse (Brisbane, 1985) is een Australische sopraan van Nederlandse afkomst. In 2006 slaagde zij voor haar klassieke zangopleiding op het Queensland Conservatorium en won zij, als jongste deelneemster ooit, het prestieuze Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Concours. In 2007 maakte ze kennis met André Rieu en dankzij een overdonderende auditie besloot hij haar als soliste mee te nemen op zijn tournee door Australië in 2008. Ondanks het gezamelijke succes treedt zij ook nog volop solo op.

Wow. This is easily the best interpretation of this song that I've heard (the encore is a bit of overkill but that's on Rieu).
Comparing Louwerse to Brightman is silly. Brightman at her best was not close to being this good.

I HOPE THE GUY WHO ONCE COMMENTED "WONDERFUL VOICE BUT BAD ITALIAN" CAN SEE THIS MESSAGE. obviously mirusia is not italian.. if this guy is white, i wonder if he can speak chinese well if not perfectly, right? @klahuss Me parece mejor que la Sarah B actual, que perdió bastante la voz. Pero la Sarah B de 1995 cuando salió el tema original era muy muy muy superior... además de la espectacular quimica que tenia con Bocelli, la potencia y el tono de su voz eran unicos.

@MrPerthlad When it comes to soprano it really depends on what singer the person likes anf feels the most from. Do I feel a lot from this? OH yes but there are others that also do it well and I feel the same thing feelings. So it really depends on the singer.

Mirusia Louwerse (Brisbane, 1985) is een Australische sopraan van Nederlandse afkomst. In 2006 slaagde zij voor haar klassieke zangopleiding op het Queensland Conservatorium en won zij, als jongste deelneemster ooit, het prestieuze Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Concours. In 2007 maakte ze kennis met André Rieu en dankzij een overdonderende auditie besloot hij haar als soliste mee te nemen op zijn tournee door Australië in 2008. Ondanks het gezamelijke succes treedt zij ook nog volop solo op.
