Komodo dragons don't have poisonous saliva, they found out a few years ago that they're actually venomous; similar to a gila monster. They have venom sacs in their jaws with channels carved into the insides of their teeth where the venom is excreted :P

Really, reptile isn't used in science too much these days because it's kinda inaccurate. Anyway, modern lizards are not descended from dinosaurs. Last time I went there, I was with me and my buddy,permitted by a friend to use his boat, we just wanted some footage. While they do have some in captivity, they can not mass produce them because that would take BILLIONS and probably up to the trillions of dollars to do something like that. And you can't release them into the wild either because that would severe with the ties of our currently falling ecosystem. Komodo Dragons would become our "chicken" if that happens.
