they don't require hard hats at Beckley Exhibition Mine either. however, I don't think the roof is low enough to be a problem in either case. this is a nice tour. hope to take it someday.

This is a hard coal mine in eastern Pennsylvania. The folks on board were primarirly from Pennsylvania, so their heads are naturally hard!
