My flight instructor back when I was a kid in the Cadet Civil Air Patrol (Polaris Group,Anchorage Alaska) was a pilot with Reeve's. Holly Cow! Was he ever a task master! He never let me forget that flying an aircraft meant that EVERY decision you made while in control of that aircraft could mean life or death for EVERY soul on board. And that flying in the Alaskan environment added to the responsibility because there few were more challenging places on the planet to fly!
i know those allison engines are really powerful. i thought i recognized that sound from the herc and yep sure enough it had allissond 501 d-13. not allison t56 's but close enough
Sure did bring back some memorys, grew up in that town. Watched some fun landings by Reeves, one time they bounced that plane down the runway over correcting one bounce on the right side to a bounce on the left, wicked cross winds.
