Sorry if you said this in the video, I didn't get to watch the whole thing but I love the sound of your vulcan, it doesn't sound stock. Are the pipes after-market? If so, what kind are they?
@kcdude7 the pipes that were on the bike when I got it had the stock pipes but the baffles were drilled out. So it was ridiculously loud. Since I think loud pipes saves lives is a bunch of crap and more so because I was working 2nd shift and coming home after midnight I didn't want to piss off the neighborhood so I got stock pipes and put those on. So, if I do a future video with the Vulcan, it'll sound a good bit different.
Thanks for the response. Do you notice an increase in performance/torque now that you have stock pipes again? Sometimes they say drilled or removed baffles can decrease performance due to the loss of rear-end pressure.
Love the videos. How do you have your camera and microphone set up? Can you share your rig info? I'd like to do something similar where I can record and talk through a ride for my wife to see while she learns to ride. Thanks!
@26marbay yea i did, but it was shitty and ragged out and never started even with a fully charged battery so i could never go anywhere in fear of killing it and not being able to restart, sold a long time ago, now im on a 2004 honda vlx 600 and loved to learn on it but ready to move on up.
i like the vid boss, its cool how you are able to keep your wind when explaining things....i have to use the tach method also on my nissan maxima cause the digi dash stop workin....do you still have the bike today 9-26-2010?
i just bought a VN700 two weeks ago and am undergoing changes to it, tires, and pipes :)
man i just bought a vulcan 750, going pick it up tomorrow. 4 hour drive =[ but im sure itll be worth it. another sucky thing is im only 17 so i cant ride it til my bday. guess itll give me time to learn. this video just makes me more anxious. do you enjoy having the vulcan?
Great video. I had a 1993 VN750. Had it for 12 years and 36K+ miles. I road it less when my son was born. How did you keep your camera from moving and was it mounted in front of your mouth?
I too am curious about your audio/video setup. Any info would be appreciated. I'd like to do some on bike videos, and I really like the look and sound of yours. I like how the camera is pointed up at the horizon, but we can still see the bars and guages. Cool!
Ive got a nice vulcan, i got it about 3 month's ago, I like it alot really comfy, and its got the vance and hines pipes on it like the one in the video,
so if you want a vulcan find one thats in nice cond and then go get it and put the V&H pipes on it, and you wont be dissapointed,
I was a VROCer and had a VN750 between 1996 and around 2000. Great machine, butt ugly true, but a blast to ride. Not your ordinary cruiser. This vid brought back some memories.
Cool vid! I just picked up a '95 Vulcan 750 and watching the video was almost surreal, like, hey i was just doing that! Great Bike! Highly reccommended!
Hi, I really like your videos. Congrats on the Vulcan. I haven't got a motorcycle, but always wanted one. I've rode on some dirt bikes when I was a kid, but never a street bike. I used to be crazy about Harleys, but the Rebel 250 is just so affordable (even new), and many say it is a great entry-level bike. Anyway, just wanted to say I really enjoy watching your videos, and sharing your riding experiences with us.
Oh, I know that is why it's bent. It's still functioning just fine even now. One of these days I'll get around to replacing it but it's not a high priority.
Last year I got a 185 Honda Twinstar, and early this spring we got a 2004 rebel for my wife, she love it. Your videos are a lot of the reason we chose a Rebel for her.
I really like the sound on you new motorcycle. Do you aftermarket pipes on it or are they stock? I have a Yamaha V-Star and I am thing of getting the Kawasaki 750. It is almost maintenance free, very reliable. Congratulations,
I just bought a 2008 Rebel and often wish I had a bit more power. I love my Rebel, but watching this really makes me want to get the shadow I wanted. Thanks for the videos, I can feel like I'm riding even when I'm not.
The Rebel is still here. It's being ridden more often than the Vulcan right now, but that is most likely because of the speedometer issue. If my wife gets interested in motorcycling, she's got a bike ready for her.
So, from my unserstanding, the exhaust in this video is the stock pipes, but with drilled baffles?

Backfire when closing the throttle could be an air leak in the exhaust system somewhere
it's sucking in air somewhere try re-fitting with exhaust sealer paste Nice ride all the same. Ride safe and Greetings from the UK

I've been considering the 750. Your bike sounds real good. What pipes do you have?
