  • I love the "this is a pub--- ERRRR" part XDD

  • How good does that radio work? I'm looking to get a new one. Does it activate with S.A.M.E. tones??

  • u deserve a like

  • i have a tsunami siren next to my high school god fucking loud

  • @tomthedestroyer Nope :)

  • I know it's a siren. People are rude on here!

  • So, the siren goes off, then what?? How does one now WTF it means??

  • Seeing as how the scenario is a dam break, I'd imagine they tell people the siren means flash flooding is iminent. Also, if it was a real emergency, they'd activate the eas

  • By the time the siren winds down, the town would already be under water.

  • if the dam broke you would probably have less than 2 minutes to get to cover, its like telling someone not to step on a mine when there foot is only an inch away

  • no, you usually have some time to get out of danger. and by the time the dam actually broke, the smarter emergency management agencies will have warned their citizens that a crisis is imminent and they'd best prepare to get of dodge quickly.

  • Has anyone else been frightened by that screechy emergency test signal.

If it just comes on randomly, im just like whoaa wtfz.

  • I was just talking about that tonight with one of my friends! That little screechy thing scares the SHIT out of me!

  • The STH-10 has the best wind down of any siren ever made in my opinion.

  • That EAS guy scares me

  • that STH-10 kinda sounds like a 2001!

  • ZOMBIES ! 12 o'clock ! GO GO GO !

  • Nice Sth-10

  • I want one of those as my car alarm siren xD

  • i will call it the siren of boringness it takes so long to stop!

  • Yo. I'm looking into buying this radio, but I have a question: this thing seems to emphasize visual alerts alot on the online details, but it doesn't mention it being equipped with an EAS alert tone. Does this specific radio have one? thanks.

  • never mind. Just found out it carries 100 dec. Is it still a pretty good radio? I'm SKYWARN too, and a portable radio would be nice.

  • Why is it a continuous siren? In England we have a warbling up and down siren to warn of impending disaster - this would be similar to our "all clear" or in my day "raiders past" siren. Why the Americans have to be different is beyond me!!!

  • Well, Francis1930, the steady alert tone is to warn of a natural disaster like a tornado.

The attack (wavering) signal is used very often in the US. It is just used for non-natural disasters like an attack, fire, etc.

Here is a video of a 3t22 in alert & attack:

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=pNOGUPh55w8

  • Different?? Maybe "y'all" are different !! Ever think about that?? Oh, by the way, Howdy from Texas (:

  • Do we?

  • Do we? do we what???????

  • Have sirens in the UK

  • Why does it take so long to turn off?

  • You mean at the end? Or the whole length of the video?

  • Montana sounds sirens for 3 minutes.

  • @MisterTwister55 in iowa they go off for 30 minutes

  • @armyboy1207

Then I'd hate to live in Des Moines! I went on vacation there a few weeks ago, and their siren system is a mix of 2001s and WPS 4004s. I can't stand either one!!

  • Was the van and the person there people to confirm that it was working?

  • That was Dan- I think he's the chief of Custer Co. Volunteer Fire, which is right there. I think he was just grabbing something. idk

  • Jeez, that's an intense siren.

  • Yay! An STH-10! We need more of these on Youtube.

  • Boy that's an increadably long alert

  • You would have a long alert too, if a dam burst!!!

  • those tests give me goose bumps! of corse they make alot bigger deal about it in chicago because its a big city

  • Oregon? This is in Oregon? I dont have any sirens in my area, though in the Forest Areas, there are T-135's and 2001-SNRB's.

  • Miles City, Montana. Custer county

  • I believe it is Miles City, Montana

  • i think it's just the radio is by oregon scientific.

  • About how much advance warning would you get, if it was really?

  • I think around an hour or so.

  • Reminds me of a Federal Signal 2001

  • sth-10's have to be the coolest and best sounding sirens ever

  • Awesome video of that STH-10. 5 stars.

  • Thank you

  • No problem.

  • What type of siren is that three-siren cluster on your county courthouse?

  • The DES guy wasn't sure. Apparently, we had more like that in the past near the river and it filled with water. He did say though, that he has considered placing the courthouse one in Southgate, which is a suburb of Miles City. If he does, I will have some footage, I would love to hear that old girl fire up!

  • Nice vid man! Love the broadcast part followed by the STH10 blast. You must be a SKYWARN spotter too?

  • Yep! Mobile. No HAM yet though.

  • Awesome video of the STH-10!

  • sth10? looks like to me

  • Correct! Our City has 3 of these.

  • Thats because it is.

  • ha ha
